Roberts Avoids Specifics on Abortion Issue
John G. Roberts Jr. testifies that he believes that the Constitution protects the right to privacy, the legal underpinning of the nation's landmark abortion law, but he refuses to say whether he would vote to uphold Roe v. Wade.

Critics point to the fact that Justice Ginsberg not only indicated how she would vote to uphold Roe vs. Wade, but brought along several home movies during her confirmation hearing where it was clear and evident she was performing them herself as a weekend job. Pro-bono.
