“The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid
stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming
until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one
designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other
rights have failed – where the government refuses to stand for
reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the
courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However
improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is
a mistake a free people get to make only once.”

Big Punch In A Small Package
Wiley Clapp Ruger GP100
Feed it with any DoubleTap load, hold on tight, then watch things evaporate.
I prefer the 158 grain BONDED DEFENSE load that'll crank out the tube @ 1400 fps or thereabouts. And I had to replace the standard grips with oversize Hogues because my paws are too big and clumsy for the teensy weensy factory furniture.

Browser Game: The Ways of History: Russian Civ Knockoff
If you enjoy playing glitchy, balky, annoying browser games that hurl popup windows at you every other nanosecond, then Ways of History is for you!
I've been testing this From Russia With Hate offering for the past 4 months and it doesn't deserve a genuine write-up, yeah, it's that poorly done.
But picture yourself wanting to give it a go, then landing smack dab in the middle of a country laden with Russians seething at the froth about losing the Cold War. You're going to be attacked without mercy, and poof, there goes your foray into detente shot to hell and back.
I held it together until the commissars decided to introduce popup windows after each and every mouse click, and that's too bad. Because for a glitchy, balky, annoying browser game, it was a way to pass the time on a boring day.
Free-To-Play as long as you really don't want to win. Then you need to purchase luck coins that can take an hour to arrive even though PayPal has sent you the confirming email 2 minutes after your purchase.
Don't bother, brother.

Michelle Obama Says She's A Single Mommy
She's the First Single Lady.
Michelle Obama slipped up and remarked that she's a "busy single mother" before quickly correcting herself in an interview.
The first lady was talking about healthy eating with a reporter in Vermont on Thursday when the topic of balancing work and family came up.
"Believe me, as a busy single mother - or, I shouldn't say single - as a busy mother," the first lady told CBS's Vermont affiliate, WCAX.
As many of the comments offered, Barry does spend far more time learning how to look like an idiot with a golf club than being a father to his children. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't be spending all that much time with Lady Lard either.
And as usual, the Kraken made these statements while speaking about "healthy eating", making it abundantly clear that the White House has no mirrors.

Barry Thinks Constitution Is "Constraining" Him
"...on Wednesday, President Obama took his gun control push a step further:
He admitted that only the Constitution stands between him and full gun
confiscation. Rejecting concerns that new background checks might be a
prelude to gun seizures, Obama suggested that worries about gun seizures
were empty, and were only designed to feed "into fears about
government. You hear some of these folks: 'I need a gun to protect
myself from the government. We can't do background checks because the
government's going to come take my guns away.' The government's us.
These officials are elected by you. ... I am constrained as they are
constrained by the system that our founders put in place."
No, Barry, the government is not "us" The government is you. We the people hire folks to run the day-to-day minutiae of acting important; like setting up tee-times at the golf course, or European vacations that cost millions, but, you see, Barry boy, you and yours are nothing more than well paid hired hands with an outrageous entourage.
And not for nothing, Barry boy, but the Founders made it perfectly clear that the right to keep and bear arms would NOT be constrained. They understood the difference between government and citizens, and wanted the citizens to be able to take up arms against tyranny whenever necessary.
Constrained. Think about that for a minute. Barry feels the Constitution to be constraining.
Perhaps he's confusing his past African constitutions with the American one.

True Patriots Have ALWAYS Understood The Concept Of Common Sense
“Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in our own possession and under our own direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?”
Patrick Henry
Sound familiar? Sound just like what Chuckie Cheese Schumer and his gaggle of moronic Congressional soccer-moms have been spouting, seemingly forever?
Ya think Chuckie's security staff has low-capacity magazines, or must first ask permission to lock and load during a threat? Think they must first fire a warning shot, like national disgrace Joey Boy Biden suggests? Think Barry Soetoro's security people, aka the Secret Service, is limited to 9 or 10 round magazines?
Of course not. After all, royalty has it's privilege.

Obo The Grand Is Excoriated
In what universe is a human being, one called “president of the
United States,” who cannot be trusted to spend other people’s money
wisely – who is held to be rash and irresponsible when pushing
legislation to extend health-insurance coverage – who is regarded as
arrogant and ignorant for his support of greater government regulation
of financial markets – who is accused of being a dangerous social
engineer when he launches schemes to redistribute wealth – who is
exposed as a typical, high-on-hubris, popularity-grabbing politician who
never lets his incomprehension of matters soothe his itch to tax,
spend, and issue diktats all in ways that conservatives correctly
understand to be destructive – in what universe is such a person to be
trusted and saluted as Our Protector and as a paragon of prudence
whenever he turns his attention to deploying military force?
Like conservatives, I look with deep suspicion upon any politician who exercises authority to spend other people’s money, to regulate wages, or to plan a ‘green’ economy. Unlike too many conservatives, however, I look with even deeper suspicion upon any politician who exercises authority to kill.
Sincerely,

Germany's Green Energy Fiasco Comes Home To Roost...
Because renewable power sources have been so unreliable, Germany has
been forced to construct numerous new coal plants in an effort to
replace the nuclear energy it has taken offline. In fact the country
will build more coal-fired facilities this year than at any time in the
past two decades — bringing an estimated 5,300 megawatts
of new capacity online. Most of these facilities will burn lignite,
too, which is strip-mined and emits nearly 30 percent more carbon
dioxide than hard coal.
In other words Germany is dirtying the planet in the name of clean energy — and sticking its citizens with an ever-escalating tab so it can subsidize an energy source which will never generate sufficient power.
Now of course Merkle the Turkle is a libtard who did a full frontal kneejerk when the Japanese tidal wave wrecked one of their nuke plants, but doesn't she know that Germany doesn't get all that many tidal waves?
Wind turbines DO NOT WORK as advertised.
Guess not.

LA Cops Go On Shooting Spree...Awaiting The Reaction From Nancy Pelosi
LOS ANGELES — Thousands of police officers throughout Southern
California and neighboring states hunted Thursday for a disgruntled
former Los Angeles officer wanted for going on a deadly shooting rampage
that he warned in an online posting would target those on the force who
wronged him, authorities said.
Police issued a statewide "officer safety warning" and police were sent to protect people named in the posting that was believed to be written by the fired officer, Christopher Dorner, who has military training. Among those mentioned were members of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The hunt for Dorner led to two errant shootings in the pre-dawn darkness Thursday.
Los Angeles officers guarding a "target" named in the posting shot and wounded two women in suburban Torrance who were in a pickup but were not involved, authorities said. It's not clear if the target is a person or a location. Beck said one woman was in stable condition with two gunshot wounds and the other was being released after treatment.
"Tragically we believe this was a case of mistaken identity by the officers," Beck said.
Minutes later Torrance officers responding to a report of gunshots encountered a dark pickup matching the description of Dorner's, said Torrance Sgt. Chris Roosen. A collision occurred and the officers fired on the pickup. The unidentified driver was not hit and it turned out not to be the suspect vehicle, Roosen said.
"We're asking our officers to be extraordinarily cautious just as we're asking the public to be extraordinarily cautious with this guy. He's already demonstrated he has a propensity for shooting innocent people," said Smith, the LAPD commander.
Just for a moment try to envision the response you'd get after shooting innocent people because they happened to be driving a vehicle resembling someone on a wanted list. Whoops, sorry about those bullet holes, just a case of mistaken identity, and what's an "errant" round or two between friends?
Teaching cops when, where, and how to shoot is really the only form of gun control needed. But they, you see, are the ones trusted to own and carry virtually any firearm in existence because their little boys club would otherwise pout if denied the right to shoot more innocent people than criminals.

Women May Soon Be Drafted
Females may be included in the Selective Service and qualify for a
potential draft should one be ordered by the president, Defense
Secretary Leon Panetta said.
The U.S. military’s civilian leader lamented that he didn’t know who ran the Selective Service, but whoever does will “have to exercise some judgment based on what we just did,” Panetta said at a Pentagon press conference Thursday.
On Thursday, Panetta and Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lifted the official ban on women serving in combat roles, removing gender barriers from jobs in the military.
There's a reason why women have their own sporting venues. Simply put, they cannot compete with men.
War isn't tennis or golf, and to dilute the combat efficiency of an all-male unit is nothing short of criminal.
Besides the fact that not one free nation in the world uses women in combat roles. A lot of this ludicrous hubbub began back when some Israeli gals from the steno pool hopped on a passing tank after the 3-day war, and a myth was born.
Draft them? Sure. Every unit could use some extra clerk-typists. But you all know what will really happen, now don't you. The standards will be lowered. As usual. Real life isn't some Hollywood war flick where oh so tough gals not only keep pace with but often exceed what their male counterparts are capable of.
Pardon my Fwench but bullshit. They are slower, weaker, and far more prone to become over emotional, and over emotional in combat means they'll get someone else killed and it isn't going to be the enemy. And forget the fact of what the moose-limbs do to the women they own. Be prepared for a video of Sally Soldier being tortured, raped, then beheaded.
Just another reason to despise the Obo administration.

Iranian Nuke Facility Goes BOOM
An explosion deep within Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility has destroyed
much of the installation and trapped about 240 personnel deep
underground, according to a former intelligence officer of the Islamic
regime.
According to a source in the security forces protecting Fordow, an
explosion on Monday at 11:30 a.m. Tehran time rocked the site, which is
buried deep under a mountain and immune not only to airstrikes but to
most bunker-buster bombs. The report of the blast came via Hamidreza
Zakeri, formerly with the Islamic regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and
National Security.
The blast shook facilities within a radius of three miles. Security forces have enforced a no-traffic radius of 15 miles, and the Tehran-Qom highway was shut down for several hours after the blast, the source said. As of Wednesday afternoon, rescue workers had failed to reach the trapped personnel.

Gun Control
Even the most simple of dullards has to realize that law abiding folks don't do UN-law-abiding things with any degree of regularity, but then again liberals are a species far beneath the dullard line. But if the Obama administration has been good for one thing it's been to lower the bar and "WE TOLD YOU SO".
They are coming for our guns. And this time they might get them.

RIP Stan The Man
Stan Musial, the St. Louis Cardinals star with the corkscrew stance and too many batting records to fit on his Hall of Fame plaque, died Saturday. He was 92.
Most of Stan's glory days happened before my birth or memory, but our Dad's raved about him which was unusual for an out of town player.
If Pete Rose hadn't perfected the swinging bunt, Musial would still be in the top 3 of real players who could hit a ton and then some. Musial's 3630 hits place him just behind Hank Aaron, two seasons behind Ty Cobb, and real men watched the game of baseball to see the bat being swung not pushed as if by a street cleaner's brush.
