"...the FBI has preliminarily reported a four percent drop in the number of violent crimes from 2010 to 2011, the 18th drop in the last 20 years. Violent crime is now at about a 41-year low.
Washington Times reporter Emily Miller asked the NRA and the Brady Campaign for their opinions about the trend. The NRA responded that crime has decreased as the number of Right-to-Carry states has risen to an all-time high.
However, Miller noted, "The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence did not respond to requests for comment." Miller added, "Gun‑control advocates are noticeably silent when crime rates decline. Their multimillion‑dollar lobbying efforts are designed to manufacture mass anxiety that every gun owner is a potential killer. The statistics show otherwise."

To everyone but the Brady's...and other illiterate lunatic fringers who believe that the mere possession of a firearm turns every law abiding town into the Hollywood version of Dodge City...common sense would dictate that villains, thieves and scoundrels make a living preying upon the defenseless, so of course an armed citizenry frightens them back to Chicago, NYC, LA and other dirty places from which to ply their trade.
Oh and by the way; Dodge City at its worst had less crime than any of the above listed dens of iniquity but that'd make for a dull western. Trouble is that today's dunderheads can't tell truth from fiction and have delegated important decision making to the likes of Clooney the Loony and other mental midgets, or the Brady Bunchers wouldn't have the wherewithal's to rent working space in their mommy and daddy's garage.
