Yes. In NYC, only the ONLY ONES are permitted to defend themselves. Being so special and all, I can see why. Can't go having just any... woman, no less...exercising the right to keep and bear arms.

This also raises the serious question as to whether Mayor Bloomers will call for a nation-wide boycott against cutlery manufacturers.

"An off-duty NYPD Transit cop, Gregory Chin, who was on vacation and had been eating at the Gemini diner near where the attack took place, spotted the mayhem and intervened.
"Drop it, drop it, drop the f------ knife," he screamed at Coleman, a police source said.
Coleman ignored Chin's order and advanced aggressively, wielding the knives, forcing the cop to fire one round with his off-duty weapon, hitting Coleman in the stomach.
Two bridge-and-tunnel officers helped wrestle Coleman to the ground, where he continued to resist arrest after he was wounded, witnesses said."
Many officers use the 9 mm GLOCK 26 as an off-duty gun. Better then harsh words. Barely. Guy gets gut-shot and it still takes 3 officers to subdue him so this should tell you something about the effectiveness of the firearm and/or its ammunition.
USE. ENOUGH. GUN.
Neither you nor I can count on speedy assistance from other armed men, nor should we expect it.
