Services Meet Recruitment Goals For First-Quarter '08

"On the active-duty side, the Army made 101 percent of its goal of 4,500, with 4,564 recruits. The Navy made 100 percent of its goal of 2,788 recruits. The Marine Corps made 102 percent of its goal of 2,720, with 2,788 enlisting. The Air Force made 100 percent of its goal of 2,656."

The above came via email from Stop The ACLU.

And is an answer to the MSM question of where Fred Thompson is going to find the additional troops to man the expanded military he has proposed. Still fries my clams that they had the audacity to ask from whence the money would come, seeing as how every liberal running for anything over dog catcher gets a pass by saying that there's plenty of funds it just takes a wise man or hag, to know how to properly allocate them.

Not that we SHOULDN'T know where he or anyone will find the cash, but such goings on are NEVER discussed when idolizing the leftwing promises of pie in the sky.

Oh wait. Taxes. More taxes. LOTS more taxes. All the Clinton types need do is promise to take monies from successful people and give it to less successful people and all is well. This coming from a woman that can't even find it in her heart to leave decent tips. Or from the Breck Girl who spends $2K on a haircut.

Getting back to manpower, volunteer army's are SUPPOSED to ebb and flow. Duh. Not every recruiting period fits in with what our young people are doing at any particular point in time. Then again, we COULD put all of the welfare recipients to work doing office jobs for the military as a way to earn their stipend.

Strike that. There are far too many of them. How's about enlisting waitresses working two jobs and complaining that... ?

Wait. What exactly are they complaining about?

BESIDES Hillary being cheap, I mean.
