Mercworx fashions some very good knives. The Sniper-chile pictured here is made of 154-CM steel that is becoming all the rage again since quality 154-CM steel has become available in greater quantities. As an old-fashioned edgemeister, I've always stuck with 440C for that most excellent balance of hardness, edge, and corrosion-resistance, but am being swayed more and more over to the new blends as time goes by.
This knife will set you back around $450 or so, but with proper care might very well be the last such blade you'll ever need. Unless of course you want more simply to have more.
