Defenders Of Mexican Culture Say Taco Bell An Insult

"Taco Bell is taking on the homeland of its namesake by reopening for the first time in 15 years in Mexico.

Defenders of Mexican culture see the chain's re-entry as a crowning insult to a society already overrun by U.S. chains from Starbucks and Subway to KFC.

'It's like bringing ice to the Arctic,' complained pop culture historian Carlos Monsivais."

Simply cannot make this stuff up.

A Mexican complaining that the US is invading his culture.

Taco Bell opens ONE (1) store. Mexico sends us 12 million illegals.

Not that any sensible man of good will wouldn't bemoan the arrival of Taco Belch, but please now. Mr. Monsivais is better served wearing floppy shoes and a large red nose if he wishes to be remembered as a world-class clown.

Thanks to Dustbury.
