It Is Soon Going To Be Against The Law...

For Kids To Be Mean To One Another

"Aldermen in Dardenne Prairie, a community of about 7,000 residents about 35 miles from St. Louis, have proposed a new ordinance related to child endangerment and Internet harassment. It could come before city leaders on Wednesday."

What abject nonsense.

The true indicator of how very little local politicians and their enforcement arms have to do is made quite apparent by the rush to MAKE IT A LAW.

This comes on the heels of a 13 year-old girl committing suicide after being jilted by an online friend. If the goings on in modern society have taught us one thing, it is the fact that a great many parents haven't the slightest clue about what their children are doing and thinking and feeling.

This then will be the anti-anything as long as I'm not to blame paean coming from middle-class moms. When their black sisters lose control and find their progeny shooting up the neighborhood they demand greater gun control, and soccer-sally's will soon be protesting for internet laws.

UPDATE:

Was finally able to read the whole story and discovered that it was an adult masquerading as a youngster who pushed the girl over the edge. Despicable. Unlawful?
