Scalia Tells Congress to Mind Its Own Business

"I’m sorry Justice Scalia, but your job is to interpret law. Congress’ job is to make law. If they make a law restricting the basis for your decision to the laws that they have made (both present Congresses and previous Congresses), you are obliged by the Constitution to follow that law.
There is a provision in the Constitution that provides for the removal of a sitting Justice. Which can only be initiated by the House of Representatives and conducted by the Senate. Unfortunately, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presides over the proceedings. But it is the Senate which serves as the jury. So is it wise to alienate Congress?"

Legal minds need to be sorting this out, and not the good guys at Stop The ACLU. Scalia doesn't like the idea of Congress passing a law prohibiting the use of foreign legal decisions in influencing American jurisprudence. They cherry-pick, but that's what all liberals do. But we here, do not. If the Supreme Court says that ANY law is unconstitutional, then guess what?

Bingo. It's unconstitutional. So for Stop to say that all Scalia's job is, is to enforce laws then duh. No bingo. It's generally referred to HIS OPINION. And since HIS OPINION has a lot of GRAVITAS, and since he's one of the good guys, then maybe we need some, gasp, lawyers to decide what's up with this. Because, you see, if he and the rest of the Supremes think that Congress is wrong, then Congress IS wrong.

Pssst...that's kinda the reason for them being there.

And no. I won't, as some have suggested in emails, point out that since Stop uses such broken English how in all hells can they comment upon certain hot-button topics such as, say, illegals refusing to learn English when THEY don't seem to be able to.

That is off topic and neither here nor there.

BUT, as far as the childish pout regarding the removal of a sitting justice, sweet shit, do these guys just GOTTA go into such a snit because they disagree with Scalia?

Mentioning impeachment? Has the hive mind consumed ALL of the space in the echo chamber? Scalia isn't entitled to say what's on his mind or they bring up offing him? Can I in good conscience continue to pass along such abject nonsense? Most do it for the hits, I do not, and sure, this pisses me off because most playpen imaginings do, and I expect grownups to have more sense.

But I'll probably get over it. They do more good than harm. But to not mention this crap means someone is above criticism, and there ain't no such creature. Sacred cows are for people that like fiddling with bovine tits, and there's plenty such drivel out there without my adding to it.
