May 23, 2006 -- EDITORS' NOTE: The Associated Press and others have challenged Amir Taheri's account (published in The Post on Saturday) of the proposed new Iranian dress code, noting that the law does not specify badges for religious minorities. Below is his reply.
"REGARDING the Iran dress code story, it seems that some media outlets used my column as the basis for reports that jumped the gun.
As far as my article is concerned, I stand by it.
The law has been passed by the Islamic Majlis and will now be submitted to the Council of Guardians. A committee has been appointed to work out the modalities of implementation."
Why is it, ya think, that the Loons will rush to believe a murderous, Jew-hating, America-hating regime over just about anyone else? You know, the type of guy or gal who commented on my post about the badges all non-moslems in Iran might be forced to wear?
Jew hating and America-hating is enough? Is that all it takes for them to believe the word of international criminals who are desperately trying to spread their cult throughout the world?

Blogging can be a decent catharsis, Cookie. Sure beats slogging mile after mile under 80 lbs of gear with the hope of getting a good shot in. We're too old for that shit anyway.

When my time comes I just might enjoy haunting a few folks. And that's the definition of a true optimist
