So say's John Podhoretz. I cannot argue with the man about the success or failure of a theatrical presentation yet unseen, but anyone of sound mind can dismiss J-Pod's penchant for hubris of biblical proportion. The "Big Deal" about Path is not in it's content, but in the fear it is striking into the hearts of Democrats everywhere, and their threats to extort ABC into editing the show to their satisfaction.
THAT is the story, not dramatic license, or inaccuracies because there's no such beast as an accurate Hollywood representation of a tale that has some familiarity with the truth. But Podhoretz totally dismisses the real story in favor of amateur reviewing, and bad amateur reviewing at that, while at the same time trying to make his point that the minseries missed the point.
Amazing. He's oft times the father of all wussies but this tops the ever loving cake. How was the acting? The directing? Cinematography? Podhoretz has little to say about the logistics of the thing, save for calling it " six long hours of grim, ominous confusion." To offer that reading his report on the matter took six long minutes of grim, ominous confusion, would be high praise in comparison to what this stinker really resembled.
Path might very well be an interesting offering. To stick up for the disloyal opposition so very much resembles their latte & condescend approach to all things of import, and while I haven't seen Path I have seen the latest attempt to stifle it's success and it isn't pretty.
Nothing more unseemly than a chickenhawk who's lost his backbone.
