Wading through news of the moslem violence erupting across the world from Pope Benedict's remarks about Mohammed.
And it'd be hilarious if it were not for the loss of life and property.
In essence, the discussion concerned itself with precisely what it was that Mohammed had put on the table. That his message was violence and fear and little else. Convert or die.
So how does islam respond? By being violent. Burning, looting, killing. Lending credence to the 14th-century Byzantine emperor, who said, "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
Islam doesn't ask for diplomacy. Islam doesn't want a discussion. They were, after all, merely words. Spoken over 500 years ago. Any "religion of peace" would be cut to the quick over such allegations, and strive mightily to prove them to be in error.
But not the religion-of-murder. Each and every time someone offers even the most innocuous of criticisms concerning Mohammed and the cult he founded, his followers take it upon themselves to launch worldwide sprees of murder and mayhem. And their defenders tell us, each and every time they do, that it is only a handful, a small percentage of islam that thinks and acts this way.
Dare call them murderers and they'll kill you. To prove how wrong you are.
