NRA News: Jackson, Mississippi Mayor Considers Himself Above The Law

And, truth be told, he is.

Jackson, Mississippi Mayor Frank Melton is scheduled to stand trial for illegally carrying a handgun inside a church, a school, and a park. This is newsworthy for several reason, chief of which is Melton's strong anti-gun crusade, a crusade that has placed him in high esteem among the agreeable Bloomberg coven of Mayors that are out to ban handguns.

From the little people only, of course. And certainly NOT black people with influence, like Frank Melton.

The prosecutor's office stands little chance of convicting Melton, but is giving it the old college try on the outside chance a predominantly black jury might feel the need to enforce the law. Is it a bad law? Quite so. Does it need to be changed? Yes. But since not all of us can use the, Black-So's-We-Need-Be-Gettin'-Lots-More-Slack defense, he deserves hard time for believing himself to be ABOVE the law because his great-great-great-great grandparents were taken from Africa against their will.

REAL equality DOES mean for EVERYONE.
