He is now denying concealed carry permit renewals for permits that had been approved by the previous--and presumably less "gun friendly" sheriff. Larry Rankin, who first clued me in to Sheriff Brown, just received this."
Uh huh. The NRA rated him very highly, too.
Also, a quick check of the Santa Barbara violent crime rate shows it to be slightly above the national average, so I guess the Nazi calling himself a sheriff believes that to be just swell, hence no need for one to have the ability to defend ones self. Wouldn't make a damned bit of difference if the next violent crime was the first in those parts, but perhaps the coroner-sheriff has too much work on his hands and doesn't want any poor goblins injured.
