Happy Birthday Dutch
On October 11, I somehow missed the birthday of Elmore Leonard, and there are not enough mea culpas to atone for so grievous an omission.
Wait. There ain't enough "I'm sorry's" to make up for being so forgetful."
Nah. Hell, I just forgot.
When writing, leave out the parts people skim over. Dialogue is king because the human eye always stops when it sees quotes. If it sounds like writing then re-write the thing...
The author of 3:10 to Yuma, Dutch received $90 for the original story, another $4000 when the first movie was made, with the promise of an additional $2000 if it was ever remade.
He's still waiting for that 2-Grand bonus.
