Concealed Carry. You can click the pic or: Blue=Shall Issue
Tan=May Issue
Red=No Frickin' Way
Of course, NY and Kalifornia are considered May-Issue, but in the bigger towns that's a sick joke.
Even with the facts staring them in the face, Loon Politicians such as NY's Mayor Bloomberg can lie with a straight face in prounouncing that "Most people don't believe that "civilians" should be allowed to carry firearms, and the Loon Press publishes ANYTHING they say as if it were gospel.

New Jersey is "may issue" as well, but hell may freeze over too.
Indeed sir. As usual you are on the ball.
I don't if I was more shocked that Iowa was a right restricted state or that Wisc. and Ill. deny the right altogether. I guess they are dominated by Chicago and Milwaukee. That's sad.
Very much so, Pat.
The scoop on Iowa is thus: Lots of folks hunt. The place is so flat and open that rifles are verboten, so years ago they decided to allow handguns to be used when a shotgun wasn't all that cool. Then they came to the realization that this wasn't 1865 anymores and some kickass handguns were using kickass ammunitions, and got all frigged looking for what to do.
Iowa hates, really hates handguns for self-defence purposes because it's a true farming/hunting state and if I heard it once I heard it a dozen times, that law abiding citizens shouldn't be needing to carry no sidearms, and the 2nd Amendment was really all about putting food on the table.
At first this suprised me too until I realized that most of the midwesterners I met felt pretty much the same way, and why not.
The major criminal activities involve the manufacture of methapmphetamines, the population is 98% white, and all of this cowboy stuff is better left in Texas or some other dirty place. People should just be law-abiding and leave their protection to the police. I was told by a local sheriff that a man my size shouldn't be needing no gun, and if'n I did, what was wrong with a good old 12 gauge.
And yep. Chicago and Milwaukee. Blissninnies united against the Constitution.
