We've discovered why the cable modem is an intermitant service.
It hates me. Lisa uses it just fine, it has been checked and rechecked, and all parameters appear 'normal'. Save for when I attempt access. Then it's slower than dialup most times and whats the point.

I guess you don't do housewives' juju. You gotta talk to your machines - whisper sweet nothings in their metal ears etc. But seriously - there is computer juju - and washing machine juju and I've even got it to work on a chainsaw.
Thanks for the heads up, Pat. I DO coddle my plants but just haven't it within me to suck up to megabitch machines from hell.
The cable guy was on over today and diagnosed several glitches with our connection...all their fault...so I hope this cures most of the problems.
