Soros Conviction Stands...

"...news that France's highest court has upheld the insider-trading conviction of hedge-fund gazillionaire - and hard-left enabler - George Soros surely should bring a smile to the face of anyone who believes in poetic justice.

The Hungarian-born financier, who has made the destruction of conservatism his life's mission, admitted having quietly bought shares of Societe Generale back in 1988, just days after being told of a rival's plan to take over the company.

But he insists that his advance knowledge of the planned corporate raid didn't constitute insider trading.

We'd love to hear Eliot Spitzer's opinion on that one.

Certainly, the Court of Cassation wasn't buying Soros' claim.

Soros plans to appeal his case to the European Court on Human Rights, arguing that the years-long investigation of the case violated his rights.

You know, like some oppressed political dissident.

Apparently, he hopes to face a friendlier venue, where he can make a case on something other than the merits.

Just as he tried to do last year, when he pleaded for vindication on the ludicrous grounds that his conviction was "a gift to my enemies."

In other words, Soros was saying, upholding his conviction would only embolden the political right - and those who don't appreciate his bizarre drug-legalization efforts.

We have to admit, we don't know how a French court failed to buy that argument. Perhaps the case against Soros is stronger than he thinks.

The only penalty Soros faces is the loss of his profits from the scheme, about $2.9 million.

That's a drop in the bucket for Soros; still, it's that much less he has to spend on the political and social mischief that he's doubtless planning for over here."

The epiphany finally arrived, not with a thump but a duh. Soros believes that recreational drugs should be legalized. Soros has "friends" and connections the world over. Two plus two equals the creation of a drug connection so powerful as to label the Medien cartel as pikers. The groundwork is being laid for a Soros-controlled "legal" drug empire that'll make the old Mafia versus US Steel measuring stick laughable.

Soros doesn't hate America. Soros loves it. Each and every last 300 million of us, who he sees as potential customers once enough of his liberal politicians become elected and open the floodgates for an immensely profitable product.
