I was thinking about the .454 Casull version of their Alaskan model, then they went and added a .44 magnum to the line. Buffalo-Bore and Double-Tap .44 magnum loads are into .454 Casull territory, and for plinking I'd sure save a lot of money by using "cheap" Winchester White Box ammo, so it's something to ponder as I select my next carry gun.
47 ounces fully loaded versus 42 with the 3" GP-100, so it's not as if the extra weight would be a factor.
