I detest guns with longwinded, uber-tacticool names. Universal Service Pistol Tactical is as dumb as it gets without be called a Kimber-something-or-other, but H&K makes a fine service pistol featuring out-of-the-box under 2" of accuracy at 25 yards for under a grand.

The low bore-axis and good trigger (ALL triggers in guns under 3 grand need work, especially for the trigger-queens among us) make it an inherently accurate piece that's likely to outlive you.
