Gators Win SEC Championship

"The sixth-ranked Gators finished off three routs in three days, beating Arkansas 77-56 on Sunday to claim their third straight SEC tournament championship and perhaps lock up a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Again, it was a devastating team effort by Florida (29-5), which lost three of its last five regular-season games but showed no weaknesses at the Georgia Dome. The Gators ripped through their opponents with an average winning margin of 19.7 points.

"This is our time of year," Joakim Noah said.

No one at the SEC tournament would dispute that..."

If they are NOT rated #1 then the experts are as dumb as their football brethren. Both the hoops and pigskin heroes of Gainesville shared one "quality" that was overlooked during the NCAA Football Championship...

These kids like taking games off, but come crunch time, they use what they've saved to devastating effect.

Overlook the obvious yet again and don't go blaming me.

And the 1st Round sacrifice will be...

JSU Tigers To Have Selection Sunday Reception

JACKSON, Miss. - "All Jackson State University basketball fans are invited to the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center for a Selection Sunday reception set for 4 p.m.

JSU fans are encouraged to join their Tigers for a time of fellowship and fun as the Tigers wait to find out who they will play in the 2007 NCAA men's basketball tournament.

JSU beat Mississippi Valley State 81-71 Saturday evening for the 2007 Southwestern Athletic Conference championship. With the win JSU will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney."

All of Gainesville is pulling for Ohio State to make it to the finals because it would be fun to squash another team from that frigid and dreary cowtown up north.
