September 18, 2007 -- Rudy Giuliani, an ardent gun-control advocate as mayor, will address the National Rifle Association on Friday.
The GOP White House hopeful, who backed the federal assault-weapons ban in 1994 over the objections of the NRA, has changed his position as a presidential candidate. He now says he supports the Second Amendment and believes gun laws should be addressed by the states.
It is possible that the NRA would endorse Giuliani.
"We take into consideration a candidate's past record and what they're saying now and what they'll do in the future," said NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam."
Back when nobody outside of NYC knew of Julie Annie's stance on firearms, we were calling attention to his draconian attitudes on gun control, and at first believed it possible for him to admit that whats good for NY isn't necessarily good for the country, but that was childish and bordering on wide eyed stupid.
Neither Julie nor anyone else for that matter can speak the truth about the reasons for some degree of gun control in criminal invested big cities laden with iniquitous minorities. Ain't gonna happen. But he really hasn't offered anything new to placate we the people, and if the NRA endorses the man they'll never get a red cent of my money ever again.
