For entertainment purposes only, say you had access to hundreds of acres of land, pine, brush, and swamp mostly, and had erected a large cabin within. Lots of area for shooting and certain types of hunting, but you weren't really a hunter just someone who liked to shoot and was thinking of acquiring the crown jewel of civilian-legal weapons.
Lots of folks talk about SHTF time and where they'd go and how they'd supply themselves until it was un-SHTF time, but some of us just want more toys.
A 50 BMG, for me at least, would be pretty much the ultimate longarm.
