PENSACOLA, Fla. — "A sheriff in the Florida Panhandle says six to eight people were involved in the murder of a wealthy Florida couple known for adopting 12 children with developmental disabilities and other problems.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said Monday that robbery was one of "numerous motives." He says the person who masterminded the crime is one of the three people in custody but authorities are still looking for at least four more suspects.
Byrd and Melanie Billings were shot to death Thursday while eight of their children slept.
In addition to a red van seen dropping suspects off at the front door of the sprawling nine-bedroom home west of Pensacola, surveillance video showed men in ninja garb entering the back of the home through a utility door that had been left unlocked."
How in the name of all that is holy does a man of means and influence allow his home to be intruded upon, and his wife murdered?Lisa often laughs at me when I say that it is one of my most fondest of wishes for someone to attempt a break in at Fort Fits, and I tell her to laugh all she wants because the ensuing mayhem would be a thing of beauty.
And no one has ever referred to me as "wealthy", penniless no, but certainly not rich by any means. Don't need to be rich to protect your family. DO have to be at least somewhat on the ball fer chrissake.
