Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses' aide and former Kmart employee who was raised on a farm near Audubon, placed a classified advertisement with The Daily Times Herald for Friday's paper.
In the $5.50 ad, Nissen tells readers she has two television sets for sale.
The reason: "Obama on every channel and station."
In an interview Nissen said she is serious about selling two TVs - and genuine about her disgust with what she believes to be an overexposed president.
"I just got tired of watching him on every channel," Nissen said. "I thought, my gosh, does he ever stay at the White House?"
Well no, actually. He's the frontman you see, Ms Nissen, and as a fella who's never really done anything other than shill for socialism, he's simply doing what he was hired TO do.
And then there's the liberal Carroll, Iowa editorial obligatorially (?) attached to the tale...
"Obama's own advisers and political observers across the ideological spectrum have for months debated whether the now popular president is overexposed."
Amazing, since his popularity wanes with every passing moment. But since having the media on his side was the reason he was elected to begin with, perhaps not all that amazing at all.

In modern America, the alleged "victim" is always really the aggressor, and the alleged "aggressor" is always the true victim.
President Barack Obama planted the question during a health care press conference, hoping he could satisfy the Chicago Sun-Times, which has been accusing him of not being black enough. He somehow imagined that the rest of the country might not notice the president of the United States gratuitously attacking a cop in a case of alleged "racial profiling."
Suddenly, with the glare of the national spotlight being turned on a small local story, it became clear that there was no "racial profiling" involved -- other than by the black Harvard professor, who lorded his credentials and connections over a white working-class cop.
We wouldn't have known about this case at all if the professor, Henry Louis Gates Jr., hadn't blast e-mailed the universe that he was harassed by racist cops. Gates thought it would be a feather in his cap, not realizing there are huge areas of the country where people don't think it's heroic to browbeat cops checking on you after you break into your own house, such as 99 percent of the country outside of Cambridge.
Contrary to liberals' ardent desire, Sgt. James Crowley was not on tape saying, "I know it's his house, but let's stick it to this uppity negro." (Curiously, the tape of Gates' call demanding to talk to the chief of police to "report" Crowley has been withheld. Some watchdog group has got to demand that tape.)
But what if Crowley hadn't been a model policeman who taught diversity classes and once famously gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a black athlete?
What if the 911 caller had identified the suspected burglars as black, which it turns out she did not?
What if Crowley hadn't been fully supported by other cops at the scene, one Hispanic and one black? (Liberals will say cops stick together, but I say liberals stick together.)
What if, at some point in his life, Crowley had been accused -- falsely or not -- of racism?
His life would be ruined.
Desperate to blame the cop, despite the facts, some liberals have begun making up their own facts. Radio talker Opio Sokoni claimed Crowley told Gates to "shut up" and "I'm going to win, you're going to jail." Even Gates doesn't claim the cop said that.
On MSNBC's "Hardball," Chris Matthews said that Gates did not say, "I'll speak with your mama outside," as stated in the police report.
"He didn't say this," Matthews asserted as fact. This invented fact allowed Matthews to accuse the cop of engaging in "projection" and to conjure Crowley's psychological state, saying, this is "what a white guy thought a black guy would say."
Eugene Robinson endorsed Matthews' invented fact, saying: "I cannot imagine in this universe Skip Gates saying, 'I'll speak with your mama outside.'" As proof, Robinson explained that Gates "rolls with kings and queens and Nobel Prize winners." (I'm not "projecting" what I think a black man would say; he really said that.)
And then they both had a laugh about the cop applying racist stereotypes to such an esteemed figure as Professor Gates, who apparently would NEVER use the phrase "your mama."
First, unlike these aesthetes, I don't consider "your mama" such an implausible expression for someone to use.
Second, Sgt. Crowley wrote his police report, including the "your mama" line, long before he, or anyone else, could have imagined the arrest was going to become nationwide, front-page news.
Third, there's a video of Gates using the N-word all over the Internet, and in that short, three-minute video, Gates uses the phrase "your mama."
The only contrary evidence is that Gates recently denied that he told the cop he'd "speak with your mama outside." He also desperately wants to drop the subject.
The left's last-ditch attempt to defend a powerful black man's attack on a powerless white man is to say the arrest was improper. In Time magazine, Lawrence O'Donnell factually announced, "Yelling does not meet the definition of disorderly conduct in Massachusetts."
You can argue the facts in court, but there's no question that the police report described the misdemeanor offense of "disorderly conduct" under Massachusetts law, which includes engaging in "tumultuous behavior" in "any neighborhood," thereby causing public "inconvenience, annoyance or alarm."
As everyone who's read the police report knows, Gates is described as going on an extended tirade against the officer, calling him a racist, saying the officer didn't know who he was messing with, acting irrationally, following the officer outside to continue haranguing him, and engaging in "tumultuous behavior" in and outside his house, drawing a small crowd of alarmed onlookers and police.
Suppose a cop didn't arrest a guy who was ranting and raving -- in his own home -- and, an hour later, the hothead assaults someone. Policeman: I was as surprised as anyone that he shot his girlfriend! Every liberal in the country would demand the cop's head.
And by the way, try screaming at a judge that he's a racist and see what happens. Why should police officers deserve less protection than judges? They're in more danger.
The disorderly conduct charge was not dropped because it wasn't a good arrest. It was dropped, according to Gates' own lawyer, because of Gates' connections.
Before liberals declare that this a case of racial profiling and move on, how about liberals produce one provable example of racial profiling that isn't a hoax?"
I agree with 99% of Ann's diatribe against the filthy liberal mindset, but OF COURSE the cops engage in racial profiling.
MOST of the crimes are committed by a certain elephant-in-the-room minority that doesn't get anywhere NEAR the cockroach-scurrying light of day shone upon it, but not here.
Cops go where the badguys go. Too simple? If I want a hotdog I don't call a Chinese restaurant for reservations. Looking to buy a car, I've never walked into Wal-Mart's maternity aisle and loudly proclaimed "So where's all the Vettes?"
Websters defines "profile" as "a description of behavioral and personality traits of a person compared with accepted norms or standards."
Of course the officer SHOULD have been wary of dealing with one of the world's most advantaged individuals, the well-connected half-black man. He appears to have handled it quite well, but to even suggest that somewhere in his thought process REALITY wasn't being addressed is ludicrous.
One super-special half-black man went ballistic on a white guy, then another super-special half-black man stood up for him.
Stop the presses.
I use em, shamefully, as there is no alternative. I drive toll roads, vacation in anti-gun cities and towns, and do business with lending institutions that are as un-2nd Amendment friendly as, oh, say, Barack Obama. I spend lotsa cash online and wish there was somewhere else to go but there is not and that is that. I did actually boycott them for almost 4 years and maybe it is time to start putting my money where my mouth is and be done with the fuckers for good.

A man was charged with having sex with a horse after the animal's owner caught the act on videotape, then staked out the stable and caught him at shotgun point, authorities said Wednesday.
The man was first charged with trespassing, but police added a buggery charge after watching the surveillance tape."
Dayum. If'n they're all fired serious about jailing men who've fucked animals then that's just another strike for old Barry O, now ain't it? And not that I'd hit either, but selecting the more beautiful animal isn't all that hard to do....

BOULDER, Colo. — "It took three rounds from a shotgun, five bullets from a handgun and two shots from a rifle to kill the 120-pound black bear that broke into a Boulder County home early Monday morning.
The bear break-in was the fifth time in a week hungry bears have gotten into Boulder County residences, all while the residents were home. That has wildlife officials urging area residents to take precautions and bear proof their homes.
Brenda Fischer's barking dog woke her at about 2 a.m. Monday morning. When she went upstairs to investigate, she found a bear in the kitchen of her home on Poorman Road, between Sunshine and Fourmile canyons.
Fischer quickly returned downstairs to wake her two children and her husband.
"As soon as I knew there was a bear inside the house, I went to gather up both our weapon and our ammunition, because they are in two different places, and went to place myself with the weapon between the family and the bear," said Paul Fischer, Brenda's husband.
"As soon as I moved to try and make a place for him to get out, he charged me," Fischer continued. "That's when I shot him and he kept charging me. I shot him a second time, and he kept charging me. I shot him a third time and he was finally disoriented enough for me to get away."
The first two rounds from the 12-gauge shotgun were birdshot and the third was rubber bullets, according to a report by the sheriff's office. The Fischers escaped through a bedroom window, leaving the wounded bear inside the house."
Birdshot? Rubber rounds?
What in the name of all hells was this guy doing shooting a BEAR with less than lethal munitions?
In his damned house, no less. Where his WIFE and CHILDREN live. Where they were forced to FLEE their own HOME because daddy didn't wanna inflict full frontal boo-boo on poor Mr. Bruin.
Sweet Christ on a crutch but people are so fucking stupid sometimes.

Isn't it amazing that Barack Obama's wife would confess to the world that blacks kill blacks at such an alarming rate she worries about hubby topping off the tank.
Couldn't be that she was intimating blacks are being killed by whites. Because that simply isn't true, and most folks of ANY color know the real story. Adult black males account for 6% of the population and in large inner cities commit 80% of the violent crimes. And excluding sex crimes where they rob and brutalize and rape elderly white women, almost ALWAYS against other black men.
So why WOULD Michelle Obama, who most assuredly also knows that there are more black males in jail than in high school, why would she admit that her husbands chances of being killed or injured rests predominantly upon the whim of another black man.
Don't think she's just as rabid a racist as HE is, do you? Don't think that just tossing out such racially charged a statement she could be hoping that Ma and Pa Kettle...along with the folks in Rio Linda...believe that she fears for Barry's demise at the hands of a white guy?
Maybe she should read this and stories like this:
The spate of violence, which occurred over a stretch of about three hours on the city's east side, was unprecedented in recent memory. Police said they didn't immediately know of a motive in the shootings, and no arrests were reported. Many of the victims were rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital, which became a crime scene later in the evening when a car riddled with bullet holes pulled up to the emergency room."
Maybe she's right. Maybe Barry shouldn't be going for no gas.

"Let's just say it didn't exactly catch anyone at NRA off-guard, when earlier this week Brady Campaign and Violence Policy Center (VPC) raised superficial, misleading arguments in an effort to derail the Thune-Vitter Right-to-Carry permit reciprocity amendment.
When Brady was called National Council to Control Handguns, it called for "a ban on the manufacture, sale, and importation of all handguns and handgun ammunition." VPC, an off-shoot of the so-called National Coalition to Ban Handguns, openly advocates banning the private possession of handguns. And, naturally, both groups have always opposed people carrying concealed handguns for self-defense, Brady going so far as to say that self-defense is not a constitutionally-guaranteed right.
In attacking the amendment, both groups listed a small number of instances in which permit holders committed various crimes over the years, implying that such crimes would be the national norm if the amendment became law—basically the same old "the sky will fall" prediction heard every time a state adopts a Right-to-Carry law.
Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) complemented the allegation, by making the outrageous claim—and we are not making this up—that if the amendment became law, 16-year-old firearm traffickers would get permits in Vermont (an odd claim since Vermont has no licensing system), and then go to other states carrying large numbers of handguns in backpacks, to be illegally sold to criminals.
Brady and VPC hoped their panic-stricken predictions would frighten senators into overwhelmingly rejecting the amendment. But we were able to show that even if you take the group's lists at face value, they show that permit-holders are much more law-abiding than the rest of the public.
Based upon VPC's list, permit holders are 15 times less likely to commit murder, plain and simple. Try as it might, VPC could come up with only a very small number of criminal homicides committed by permit holders, in situations in which a permit was required to possess a concealed handgun. Of course, VPC did not mention instances in which murders did not occur, because people were able to defend themselves.
Brady's claim is a little more difficult to sort out, only because their list included situations in which no crime was committed, including false reports of illegal carrying, and accidents (some not even resulting in an injury); crimes not involving the misuse of a firearm, such as having a gun in a vehicle operated under the influence, or illegally possessing a firearm or having a firearm in a vehicle in a school zone or other restricted area; crimes not involving a handgun; and crimes that took place in locations where a permit was not required to possess a concealed handgun. Sifting down to violent crimes, with concealed handguns, in locations where a permit was required, permit holders again came out far better than the rest of the public. In the end, Brady's and VPC's efforts had virtually no effect on how the Senate voted. But, like the 10-round (or lower) magazine-capacity limit they support within "assault weapon ban" legislation, and their support for handgun ammunition microstamping and encoding, and "smart" gun requirements, they reminded us that Brady and VPC are handgun-ban groups at their core."
That's the democrat/liberal/commie agenda to the core.
Anti-freedom all the way and loving it. Seriously, now, all the Senate need do is change the name of the bill to "Pedophiles are people, too"and it'd pass in a NY second, for as we know, libs don't even read bills they like the name of.
I happen to know that a lot of science fiction fans peruse this blog on something of a regular basis, and figured that an oldie but goody would bring back some fond memories of a time long past. Back when ugly could steal the show, all in the name of scaring the ever loving shit out of us.

Proving that even a broken clock is correct twice a day, and that Hillary Rodham is so blatantly dumb that even non-English speaking peoples believe her to be somewhat retarded.
"The war of words was just the latest sign of the trouble the United States is having in bringing the communist regime back to the negotiating table. The tit-for-tat apparently started when Clinton earlier compared the regime to "unruly children" demanding attention.
North Korea's foreign ministry fired back, calling Clinton a "funny lady" who sometimes "looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping." The ministry was quoted as calling her remarks "vulgar" and saying "she is by no means intelligent."
Yep. Score one for the commies.

Read the arrest report here.
For those who've yet to learn of yet another Barack Hussein Obama acquaintance who operates on the sickass side of the law, the cops were summoned to his address after a neighbor called stating that it appeared that someone was breaking into a nearby home.
Henry Louis Gates screamed, cajoled, and threatened the responding officers, just to get his name in the news, and of course allow the Terrorist in Chief a chance to once again prove how racist an individual HE is by proclaiming...facts unseen...that whenever a Caucasian has cause to arrest a negro it is nothing other than a hate crime in disguise.
Sickening racist scumdogs. The lot of them. Led by the chimp-hitler himself.
"U.S. officials believe Usama bin Laden's son, Saad bin Laden, was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Pakistan.
Sources confirmed to FOX News late Wednesday that officials believe the younger bin Laden was killed by hellfire missiles from a U.S. Predator drone strike earlier this year.Come now.
Let us know the exact date so we can plan anniversary parties.
Pictured: Dead Laden.
"Rhetoric: The president insisted in his news conference last night that "the bill I sign must also slow the growth of health-care costs in the long run."
Reality: Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad asked the man who is the top authority on the subject -- Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf -- if the bills before Congress would "bend the long-term cost curve" in health care.
"No, Mr. Chairman," Elmendorf said, adding, "the legislation significantly expands" health costs.
Rhetoric: Obama said last night his plan "will keep government out of health-care decisions, giving you the option to keep your insurance if you're happy with it."
Reality: The Lewin Group, a respected economics-consulting firm, estimates in a new study for The Heritage Foundation that more than 80 million people would lose the coverage they have today if the Obama plan is implemented.
Rhetoric: President Obama has traveled the country extolling the virtues of the Mayo Clinic and other integrated health systems, saying they offer "the highest quality care at costs well below the national norm" and should be a model for the nation.
Reality: The Mayo Clinic and 12 other top health-care-delivery outlets just sent Congress a letter, warning that the bill that already has passed two committees in the House would put them out of business.
If the government creates its own health-insurance plan paying at Medicare rates, as the administration and Congress propose, the organizations say the result will be "unsustainable for even the nation's most efficient, high-quality providers, eventually driving them out of the market."
Obo-Care HAS no real end game save for the liberal penchant to take even more control of Americana.
Of course Barry hems and haws his way across the country as he DEMANDS we accept his and only his vision of the future. Because to lay it all out in black and white would be to ruin the con before it began.
Plain and simple; the man is the worst terrorist threat facing America.

The reason seeing a doctor is already more like going to the DMV, and less like going to the Apple "Genius Bar," is that the government decided health care was too important to be left to the free market. Yes -- the same free market that has produced such a cornucopia of inexpensive goods and services that, today, even poor people have cell phones and flat-screen TVs.
As a result, it's easier to get your computer fixed than your health. Thanks, government!
We already have near-universal health coverage in the form of Medicare, Medicaid, veterans' hospitals, emergency rooms and tax-deductible employer-provided health care -- all government creations.
So now, everyone expects doctors to be free. People who pay $200 for a haircut are indignant if it costs more than a $20 co-pay to see a doctor.
The government also "helped" us by mandating that insurance companies cover all sorts of medical services, both ordinary -- which you ought to pay for yourself -- and exotic, such as shrinks, in vitro fertilization and child-development assessments -- which no normal person would voluntarily pay to insure against.
This would be like requiring all car insurance to cover the cost of gasoline, oil and tire changes -- as well as professional car detailing, iPod docks, leather seats and those neon chaser lights I have all along the underbody of my chopped, lowrider '57 Chevy.
But politicians are more interested in pleasing lobbyists for acupuncturists, midwives and marriage counselors than they are in pleasing recent college graduates who only want to insure against the possibility that they'll be hit by a truck. So politicians at both the state and federal level keep passing boatloads of insurance mandates requiring that all insurance plans cover a raft of non-emergency conditions that are expensive to treat -- but whose practitioners have high-priced lobbyists.
As a result, a young, healthy person has a choice of buying artificially expensive health insurance that, by law, covers a smorgasbord of medical services of no interest to him ... or going uninsured. People who aren't planning on giving birth to a slew of children with restless leg syndrome in the near future forgo insurance -- and then politicians tell us we have a national emergency because some people don't have health insurance.
The whole idea of insurance is to insure against catastrophes: You buy insurance in case your house burns down -- not so you can force other people in your plan to pay for your maid. You buy car insurance in case you're in a major accident, not so everyone in the plan shares the cost of gas.
Just as people use vastly different amounts of gasoline, they also use vastly different amounts of medical care -- especially when an appointment with a highly trained physician costs less than a manicure.
Insurance plans that force everyone in the plan to pay for everyone else's Viagra and anti-anxiety pills are already completely unfair to people who rarely go to the doctor. It's like being forced to share gas bills with a long-haul trucker or a restaurant bill with Michael Moore. On the other hand, it's a great deal for any lonely hypochondriacs in the plan.
Now the Democrats want to force us all into one gigantic national health insurance plan that will cover every real and mythical ailment that has a powerful lobby. But if you have a rare medical condition without a lobbying arm, you'll be out of luck.
Even two decades after the collapse of liberals' beloved Soviet Union, they can't grasp that it's easier and cheaper to obtain any service provided by capitalism than any service provided under socialism.
You don't have to conjure up fantastic visions of how health care would be delivered in this country if we bought it ourselves. Just go to a grocery store or get a manicure. Or think back to when you bought your last muffler, personal trainer, computer and every other product and service available in inexpensive abundance in this capitalist paradise.
Third-party payer schemes are always a disaster -- less service for twice the price! If you want good service at a good price, be sure to be the one holding the credit card. Under "universal health care," no one but government bureaucrats will be allowed to hold the credit card.
Isn't food important? Why not "universal food coverage"? If politicians and employers had guaranteed us "free" food 50 years ago, today Democrats would be wailing about the "food crisis" in America, and you'd be on the phone with your food care provider arguing about whether or not a Reuben sandwich with fries was covered under your plan.
Instead of making health care more like the DMV, how about we make it more like grocery stores? Give the poor and tough cases health stamps and let the rest of us buy health care -- and health insurance -- on the free market."
EVERY time health-related tort reform or genuine attempts to lower medical costs made it to Senator Obama's attention he voted against the damned thing, because it IS NOT lower prices for medication and treatment and doctor visits that he and his lowlife ilk are concerned about.
It has always been about control, and while we're ragging on these mega-idiots how's about the Congress just getting off of its lazy fat collective ass and just give all of US the same coverage that they get for free?
Not a lick of ANY of this makes sense to me or anyone with a third of a brain for that matter, and isn't it just peachy that the state-owned media, otherwise known as the Jurassic press, hasn't lifted a bloody finger to stop these scumbags from ruining America. We do not watch ABC, NBC, CBS, or CNN in our house, and neither do liberals it would seem, what with their non existent ratings nowadays, so its certainly not about money anymore. It IS about being on the bandwagon that at long last finally took America away from the Americans.

I'd be remiss to not mention the 40th anniversary of mankind's greatest achievement.
July 20, 1969. I listened via a transistor radio. The reception was awful, it being in the middle of a jungle and all, and trying to decipher what was going on through one of those horrid ear plugs made it nearly impossible to tell what was going on.
Neal made it, there and back. I made it there and back. Doesn't seem like 40 years though, now does it.
What DOES seem to be pretty much spot-on is the incessant bitching and moaning the Russkies did, and continue to do...
MOSCOW — "When Neil Armstrong stepped onto the surface of the moon, it was a first for the Soviet Union — the first time the U.S. had beaten the U.S.S.R in the space race.
Forty years later, the memory of that loss of primacy still seems to sting the Russian soul."
Hahahahahahahahahaha. Cough. Whew. Never fails to give me a chortle fit. And the fact that the Russians STILL haven't made it there is sooooooooo sweet.

Think there'd be any chance that were old Tom still around he wouldn't challenge Barack Hussein Obama to a fricking duel on the White House steps?
CODY, Wyoming — "A man says he used his chainsaw to fight off a starving mountain lion that attacked him while he was camping in the Shoshone National Forest.
Ex-Marine Dustin Britton says he raised the chainsaw he had been using to cut brush and inflicted a gash on the 100-pound lion's shoulder.
The animal retreated, leaving Britton with a small puncture wound on his forearm. Wildlife agents later shot the lion after it attacked a dog brought in to track the animal.
The incident occurred Sunday evening at a campsite 27 miles west of Cody. Authorities say the lion was in poor physical condition.
Wyoming Game and Fish spokesman Warren Mischke says lion attacks on humans are rare."People REPORTING attacks upon themselves by cougars are rare, simply because to kill or even injure one is considered a mortal sin by the liberal elite. Every last mountain lion state I've lived in or visited is chockablock with men who'll gladly tell you of the time they ran off or shotgunned one...as long as you don't look like a member of some sort of law enforcement. Why...Lebanon PA, That's Who
LEBANON, Pa. -- "Lebanon's police chief is urging women to exercise caution and common sense when using recreational areas.
The warning comes on the heels of a reported sexual assault along one walking and biking path. At this point, Chief Dan Wright said Monday's attack appears to be random.
Wright is advising women not to walk alone at night or in the early-morning hours along a couple of popular trails.
The sexual assault allegedly happened on the Greenway Path between 11th and 12th streets just before 5 a.m. Monday.A 25-year-old woman said she was knocked to the ground and raped.
The attack has women who use another popular recreation area, the Rail Trail, worried."I don't know what they can do to protect themselves. People should go with at least two people, not alone. Although I have walked alone myself at times during the middle of the day," said Susan Comp. "I live in Mount Gretna and would never walk alone in the evening hours."
And there you have it. Go peacefully into that dark night, hand over your rights, your very humanity, because... To fight back is simply unacceptable. Unthinkable, even, it would seem. Now tell me...were the majority of women ALWAYS such sheep?
Caution and common sense, the police chief says. In other words, stay the fuck home.
Can't make this shit up.

I accidentally tuned into the All Star game last evening, and...gasp...saw this pencilnecked nerd toss a baseball WORSE than a girl.
Yeah, that's him' biting his lower lip. Sixty-feet-six-inches. And the spaghetti-armed geek couldn't even REACH home plate without bouncing it. ESPN...Eye-on SPecial Negroes even lied for the frig, saying he got it to the 1st Baseman who was pretending to be the catcher WITHOUT disturbing any gophers.
Remember when Bush hummed a heater in for a strike back at the old Yankee Stadium in October of Ought-1? Acted like he at least KNEW what a sporting event was SUPPOSED to look like. To a roaring crowd. Dressed in a suit that covered full body armor. Unlike this idiot who was booed as much as he was cheered.
Whoever this jerkwad was, he certainly is embarrassing. Pretending to be an American and all that. Damn. Hope he wasn't one of them special-ed kids or something. Then I'd feel bad for poking fun.

WASHINGTON (AP) - "In endorsing Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy did some creative rewriting of history. And he put quote marks around it.
Trying to head off criticism of a controversial comment, Leahy misquoted Sotomayor's own words in kicking off the second day of her confirmation hearings.
Sotomayor's public comments are as much a part of the hearings as her lengthy judicial record. Here's a look at some of the claims made Tuesday about those comments, and the facts.
LEAHY SAID: "You said that, quote, you 'would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would reach wise decisions.'" THE FACTS: If that's all Sotomayor said, the quote would barely have mattered to opponents of her nomination. The actual quote, delivered in a 2001 speech to law students at the University of California at Berkeley, was: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." Leahy's revision dropped the controversial part of the phrase, the part that has attracted charges of reverse racism. Sotomayor said her words have been misunderstood. She said she intended to tell students that their experiences would enrich the legal system. But she softened her language Tuesday, say that no ethnic, racial or gender group has an advantage in judging. ___ SEN. JEFF SESSIONS, R-ALA. SAID: "You previously have said, 'the court of appeals is where policy is made.' And you said on another occasion, 'The law that lawyers practice and judge declare is not a definitive—capital L—Law that many would like to think exists.'" THE FACTS: Sessions quoted Sotomayor correctly in both cases. In a 2005 Duke University panel discussion, a student asked whether it's better to clerk for a district judge or an appellate judge. She told the student that, if pursuing a career in public-interest law, then appeals court experience is important. "The court of appeals is where policy is made," she said, adding moments later, "I know this is on tape, and I should never say that, because we don't make law. I'm not promoting it, and I'm not advocating it. I'm—you know." THE REAL FACTS: Sotomayor...spanish for sneaky bitch that wants shit handed to her...couldn't rightly be nominated for Supreme Court Parking Attendant, but she's pretty much as wise and learned and smart as democrats get these days, so nothing to see here. Cannot truly expect someone from so far to the left to have much of anything on the ball save for the proclivity to despise America and Americans. In other words, as long as the dems have a majority she's a shoo-in. This is, after all, the same witch who often explained that the reason she scored so low on tests from high school to law school was that they were culturally biased. She needed to study a great deal harder, unlike white Americans who come into the world already knowing alla that fancy schmancy shit. LEAHY SAID: "You said that, quote, you 'would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would reach wise decisions.'"
THE FACTS: If that's all Sotomayor said, the quote would barely have mattered to opponents of her nomination. The actual quote, delivered in a 2001 speech to law students at the University of California at Berkeley, was: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."
Leahy's revision dropped the controversial part of the phrase, the part that has attracted charges of reverse racism.
Sotomayor said her words have been misunderstood. She said she intended to tell students that their experiences would enrich the legal system. But she softened her language Tuesday, say that no ethnic, racial or gender group has an advantage in judging.
SEN. JEFF SESSIONS, R-ALA. SAID: "You previously have said, 'the court of appeals is where policy is made.' And you said on another occasion, 'The law that lawyers practice and judge declare is not a definitive—capital L—Law that many would like to think exists.'"
THE FACTS: Sessions quoted Sotomayor correctly in both cases.
I'm—you know."

PENSACOLA, Fla. — "A sheriff in the Florida Panhandle says six to eight people were involved in the murder of a wealthy Florida couple known for adopting 12 children with developmental disabilities and other problems.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said Monday that robbery was one of "numerous motives." He says the person who masterminded the crime is one of the three people in custody but authorities are still looking for at least four more suspects.
Byrd and Melanie Billings were shot to death Thursday while eight of their children slept.
In addition to a red van seen dropping suspects off at the front door of the sprawling nine-bedroom home west of Pensacola, surveillance video showed men in ninja garb entering the back of the home through a utility door that had been left unlocked."How in the name of all that is holy does a man of means and influence allow his home to be intruded upon, and his wife murdered?
Lisa often laughs at me when I say that it is one of my most fondest of wishes for someone to attempt a break in at Fort Fits, and I tell her to laugh all she wants because the ensuing mayhem would be a thing of beauty.
And no one has ever referred to me as "wealthy", penniless no, but certainly not rich by any means. Don't need to be rich to protect your family. DO have to be at least somewhat on the ball fer chrissake.
Subtitled: Emphasizing The Painfully Obvious When A Liberal Is In Charge
"ECONOMIC policy, which became startling when Washington began buying automobile companies, has become surreal now that disappointment with the results of the second stimulus is stirring talk about the need for a . . . second stimulus.
Elsewhere, it requires centuries to bleach mankind's memory; in Washington, 17 months suffice: In February 2008, President George W. Bush and Speaker Nancy Pelosi agreed that a $168 billion stimulus -- Stimulus I -- would be the "booster shot" the economy needed. Unemployment then was 4.8 percent.
In January, the administration said that unless another stimulus -- Stimulus II wound up involving $787 billion -- was passed immediately, unemployment, which then was 7.6 percent, would reach 9 percent by 2010. But halfway through 2009, the rate is 9.5. For the first time since the now 16-nation Eurozone was established in 1999, the unemployment rate in America is as high as it is in that region, which Americans once considered a cautionary lesson in the wages of sin, understood as excessive taxation and regulation.
Before embarking on Stimulus III, note that only about 10 percent of Stimulus II has yet been injected into the economy in 2009. This is not the administration's fault, the administration's defenders say, because government is cumbersome, sluggish and inefficient.
But this sunburst of insight comes as the administration toils to enlarge governmental control of health care, energy, finance, education, etc. The administration guesses that these government projects will do better than the Postal Service (its second-quarter loss, $1.9 billion, was 68 percent of its losses for all of 2008) and the government's railroad. (Amtrak has had 38 money-losing years.)"
And STILL the libs clamor for government health care. But how could this be, you ask?
Because, you see, their utopia is an enormous nanny state that will need a helluva lot more workers to fail as miserably as the post office or mass transit. And that means essentially two jobs worth having in all of America.
Government workers, and those on the dole. And disadvantaged whites need not apply for the latter as affirmative actions will make that all but impossible.
Welcome to your worst nightmare. EurAmerica but without alla them neat old castles.

Insider scuttlebutt has it that Spielberg and Hanks will be producing a Marine Corps version of Band of Brothers, featuring men from Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. It was a damned long running rumor but enough guys have been interviewed and actors cast so this is a greenlight go.
Actors will be portraying inactive Marines Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge, and...bows head before even thinking about mentioning so sainted a name...Fighting John Basilone, who is pictured left. Not that he thought it was all that big a deal, Gunny Basilone held off 3000 Japanese troops at Guadalcanal, by laying down deadly accurate machinegun fire. Medal of Honor recipients never return to combat, but the Gunny demanded a return to where the next fight was, shipped off to Iwo, and here's hoping they do a decent enough job of telling his story.
HBO will once again be the place to watch, sometime in mid-2010.
The 10-part miniseries is tentatively titled: World War II: Pacific Theater/Marine Corps Band of Brothers. They'll most likely change it to Band of Brothers, "ThePacific".

"Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.
But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.
It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.
Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.
The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.
''This was almost like being a terrorist act,'' Marshall said. ''And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?''
They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall's friend as he stood outside with the others.
When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens.
His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground.
His wife, Yvonne, pushed their son, Donald, 14, into bushes to keep him protected.
''My thing is,'' Marshall said, ''I didn't want this, but I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends. I felt I had to stay out there to protect them, because those guys were just jumping, swinging fists and everything.
''I'm lucky. They didn't break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.''
After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off. The Marshalls' two adult male friends were not seriously hurt.
''I don't think I thought at that moment when I tried to jump in,'' Rachel Marshall said. ''But when I was laying on the ground, I was just scared.''
Marshall was the most seriously injured. He suffered a concussion and multiple bruises to his head and eye. He said he spent five nights in the critical care unit at Akron General Medical Center.
The construction worker said he now fears for his family's safety, and the thousands of dollars in medical bills he faces without insurance.
''I knew I was going to get beat, but not as bad as I did,'' Marshall said. ''But I did it to protect my family. I didn't have a choice. There was no need for this. We should be all getting along. But to me, it seems to be racist.''Reverse the situation. Not that you'd hear of such a thing outside of a KKK wet dream, but imagine a gaggle of white folks terrorizing a black family.
EVERY last cable show, newspaper, liberal politician and black parasite like Reverend Al would be calling for the death penalty for heinous a hate crime.
As far as Marty Marshal goes, well, kudos to him for jumping into a jungle rumble. And boos for not bringing a shotgun and wasting as many of these animals as possible.
And how's about a round of applause for the Akron PD...
All good comedy acts deserve to be appreciated for what they're worth.
This is the same bloodthirsty bastard that caused the death of Americans, and ONLY became reasonably tractable after President Reagan threatened to blow his terrorist moslem ass to kingdom come...
And guess what?
He FINALLY gets to meet an American who wants to kiss his moslem ass rather than waste it.
Travesties never cease with King Obo I, now do they...
NYPD cops hit by own shots: 3 police officers wounded as pit bull attacks on upper East Side
"Three cops were hit with ricocheting bullets Wednesday night while blasting away at a pit bull attacking them in a narrow passageway of an upper East Side housing project, police said.
Three other officers were either bitten or scratched by the dog before cops killed it, they said. None of the injuries was serious, but one cop was hit under the eye.
Police said the mayhem in the Isaacs Houses at 1806 First Ave. and 94th St., which sent scores of people running for cover on the street below, began about 10:30 p.m. when cops went in to investigate a 911 call about an assault with a gun.
When they got to the 11th floor of the 20-story building and knocked on the door of the apartment in question, a woman opened it and the snarling pit bull leaped out. All six cops went for their guns while trying to fend the dog off with their hands and feet, police said.
Samaria Marrero, who was in a bodega on the corner of E. 95th St., ran out to see what was going on when she heard the first shot.
"There were five shots at least," she said.
"At first we thought it was firecrackers. We went to see to be nosy, and there was a cop on the floor." Investigators said the woman in the apartment, identified as Milagros Martinez, slammed the door on the cops after the gunfire ended and the dog was dead. She suffered a hand injury and was arrested, police said.
Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne said five other people in the apartment then barricaded themselves inside for about a half-hour.
They surrendered quietly after a hostage negotiator talked to them for about 20 minutes.
Browne said the cop hurt the worst took a bullet fragment below the eye. Another officer was hit in the hand, and a third was hit on the side of his nose.
All of the officers were treated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell.
Browne said no weapon was found in the apartment."FMJ's rarely leave "bullet fragments", so its probable that the Keystone Coppers shot up the floor and were nicked by flying pieces of tile and linoleum.
I know that building fairly well, having spent more than a few days handing out Vote-For-Mayor-Giuliani fliers there back in the good old times, and lemme tell ya that the noise must have been horrific. Its a wonder if any of our brave and blue summons issuers have one intact ear drum left among the lot of them.
Final Score: Pit Bull 3, Keystones 1.

PRESIDENT Obama went to Moscow desperate for the appearance of a foreign-policy success. He got that illusion -- at a substantial cost to America's security.
The series of signing ceremonies in a grand Kremlin hall and the litany of agreements, accords and frameworks implied that the United States benefited from all the fuss. We didn't.
We got nothing of real importance. But the government of puppet-master Vladimir Putin (nominally just prime minister) got virtually all it wanted. In Moscow, this was Christmas in July.
Ignore the agenda-padding public-health memorandum and the meaningless "framework document on military cooperation" (we've had such agreements before; the Russians always just stiff us). The main course in Moscow was arms control.
President Obama's ideological bias against nuclear weapons dates back to his undergraduate years. Yet those weapons kept the peace between the world's great powers for 64 years. A few remarks about deterrence notwithstanding, Obama just doesn't get it.
He agreed to trim our nuclear-warhead arsenal by one-third and -- even more dangerously -- to cut the systems that deliver the nuclear payloads. In fact, the Russians don't care much about our warhead numbers (which will be chopped to a figure "between 1,500 and 1,675"). What they really wanted -- and got -- was a US cave-in regarding limits on our nuclear-capable bombers, submarines and missiles that could leave us with as few as 500 such systems, if the Russians continue to get their way as the final details are negotiated.
Moscow knows we aren't going to start a nuclear war with Russia. Putin (forget poor "President" Dmitry Medvedev) wants to gut our conventional capabilities to stage globe-spanning military operations. He wants to cut us down to Russia's size.
Our problem is that many nuclear-delivery systems -- such as bombers or subs -- are "dual-use": A B-2 bomber can launch nukes, but it's employed more frequently to deliver conventional ordnance.
Putin sought to cripple our ability to respond to international crises. Obama, meanwhile, was out for "deliverables" -- deals that could be signed in front of the cameras. Each man got what he wanted."
Score one for the Russkies. They couldn't beat us toe to toe, so they simply waited until an unimaginable IDIOT did the job for them.
Rolling in petro dollars this "deal" gives the Russians time to reach, then overtake us, as they create one bonfire after another to determine precisely how many MORE of our forces need cutting, then its on to D.C. to ask the moron for even more "arms control" agreements.
Obo gets to preen for the camera as America weakens.
Just one of the reasons why I despise these bastards.

Two men were taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition with gunshot wounds to the stomach, legs and torso. A third man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the foot. The last man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the torso, according to Perez, who said one person is in custody and a weapon was recovered.
At 2:54 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in the neck at 5958 S. Honore St. in the West Englewood neighborhood. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in an unidentified condition, police said.

Casualties Double On Sunday
The violence cooled down after those macabre six hours expired, but the weekend bloodbath wasn't over. Before it ended, the number of homicide victims had doubled.
A man was shot dead in broad daylight Sunday in the Kenwood neighborhood. Police responded about 10:15 a.m. to a shooting in the 4700 block of Forrestville Avenue and found a man wounded in the street, according to police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor.

In another daylight attack, one man was killed and another injured in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
The shooting happened in the 4700 block of South Paulina Street about 11:40 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez. Francisco Lopez, 29, who lived on the block, was pronounced dead at 12:18 p.m. Sunday at Stroger Hospital, and another person was taken to the scene with minor injuries.
The violence continued on Sunday night, when Cleophus Parrow, 35, was shot at 504 E. 91st Pl. in the Burnside neighborhood.
One person is in custody for the murder of a man who was fatally shot Sunday night in the South Side Burnside neighborhood. He was shot around 9:30 p.m. and pronounced dead about an hour later.
The victim was on his porch when a person came up and shot him, then fled. One person is in custody and a weapon was recovered, police News Affairs said.
Deonte Scott, 22, was shot in the 400 block of West 116th Street in the Roseland neighborhood around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. He succumbed to his wounds at 12:16 a.m. at Advocate Christ, police said."
Now, for a moment, just a scant moment in time, imagine if such murderous mayhem were being perpetrated by those EVIL rightwing death squads also known as war veterans.
Typical liberal bullshit, isn't it?
The REAL killers, the genuine threat to America, are the elephants in the room, BUT someone's got to pay, to be blamed, to be held accountable for deeds most foul and fer chrissake you don't think King Obo or ANY of his dysfunctional court would point fingers at the truly dangerous.
That'd be silly. Those folks'd massacree ya.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama's Top=10 Apology List:
1. Apology to Europe: Speech in Strasbourg, France, April 3. “In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe‘s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”
2. Apology to the Muslim world: Interview with Al Arabiya, January 27. “My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy. We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect.”
3. Apology to the Summit of the Americas: Address to the Summit of the Americas, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, April 17. “While the United States has done much to promote peace and prosperity in the hemisphere, we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms.”
4. Apology at the G-20 Summit of World Leaders: News conference in London, April 2. “I just think in a world that is as complex as it is, that it is very important for us to be able to forge partnerships as opposed to simply dictating solutions.”
5. Apology for the War on Terror: Speech in Washington, D.C., May 21. “Unfortunately, faced with an uncertain threat, our government made a series of hasty decisions. I believe that many of these decisions were motivated by a sincere desire to protect the American people. But I also believe that all too often our government made decisions based on fear rather than foresight, that all too often our government trimmed facts and evidence to fit ideological predispositions.”
6. Apology for Guantanamo in France: Speech in Strasbourg, France, April 3. “In dealing with terrorism, we can’t lose sight of our values and who we are. That’s why I closed Guantanamo. That’s why I made very clear that we will not engage in certain interrogation practices. I don’t believe that there is a contradiction between our security and our values. And when you start sacrificing your values, when you lose yourself, then over the long term that will make you less secure.”
7. Apology for America before the Turkish Parliament: Speech to the Turkish Parliament, Ankara, Turkey, April 6. “The United States is still working through some of our own darker periods in our history. Facing the Washington Monument that I spoke of is a memorial of Abraham Lincoln, the man who freed those who were enslaved even after Washington led our Revolution. Our country still struggles with the legacies of slavery and segregation, the past treatment of Native Americans.”
8. Apology for U.S. Policy toward the Americas: Editorial “Choosing a Better Future in the Americas,” April 16. “Too often, the United States has not pursued and sustained engagement with our neighbors. We have been too easily distracted by other priorities, and have failed to see that our own progress is tied directly to progress throughout the Americas.”
9. Apology for the Mistakes of the CIA: Remarks to CIA employees at Langley, Va., April 29. “Don’t be discouraged that we have to acknowledge potentially we’ve made some mistakes.”
10. Apology for Guantanamo: Speech in Washington, D.C., May 21. “There is also no question that Guantanamo set back the moral authority that is America’s strongest currency in the world.”
Think this abject shit for brains wonders why the Norks and Iranians are being bad boys again?
Why of course he doesn't. All part of the plan to take America down a peg.

"May it be to the world, what I believe it will be, (to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all,) the signal of arousing men to burst the chains under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings and security of self-government."
Thomas Jefferson in a letter to Roger Weightman, reflecting on the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Which he never got to celebrate, as he died that day, July 4, 1826.
On July 4, 1939 the best first baseman of all time uttered these famous words during Lou Gehrig Day at Yankee Stadium, Bronx NY.
"Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about the bad break I got. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth. I have been in ballparks for seventeen years and have never received anything but kindness and encouragement from you fans.
"Look at these grand men. Which of you wouldn’t consider it the highlight of his career just to associate with them for even one day? Sure, I’m lucky. Who wouldn’t consider it an honor to have known Jacob Ruppert? Also, the builder of baseball’s greatest empire, Ed Barrow? To have spent six years with that wonderful little fellow, Miller Huggins? Then to have spent the next nine years with that outstanding leader, that smart student of psychology, the best manager in baseball today, Joe McCarthy? Sure, I'm lucky.
"When the New York Giants, a team you would give your right arm to beat, and vice versa, sends you a gift — that’s something. When everybody down to the groundskeepers and those boys in white coats remember you with trophies — that’s something. When you have a wonderful mother-in-law who takes sides with you in squabbles with her own daughter — that's something. When you have a father and a mother who work all their lives so that you can have an education and build your body — it's a blessing. When you have a wife who has been a tower of strength and shown more courage than you dreamed existed — that's the finest I know.
"So I close in saying that I might have been given a bad break, but I've got an awful lot to live for. Thank you."

"I think that his brilliance as a performer also was paired with a tragic and, in many ways, sad personal life," he said. "I'm glad to see that he is being remembered primarily for the great joy that he brought to a lot of people through his extraordinary gifts as an entertainer."*
*Barack Obama expressing his affection for pedophile rock stars that bleach themselves white.
And no, Mr. Obo, far from it. He is certainly NOT being remembered primarily for great joy, unless its the joy he felt while playing bite the pillow with young boys.
"THE White House sure likes to put on a show. The Obama administration broadcast a health-care propaganda play this week under the guise of a citizen "town hall."
It was filled with backroom players and a supporting cast of socialized medicine activists. One of three lucky audience members whom President Obama chose for questioning was Jason Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum works for the Washington-based Health Care for America Now. That's the same K Street Astroturf outfit I reported on last week -- the one with a $40 million budget to lobby for government-run health care. The one linked to left-wing billionaire George Soros.
Let's look at who else miraculously drew a golden ticket. Another of the three citizen questioners at the forum identified herself as a member of the Service Employees International Union. That's the same SEIU whose president, Andy Stern, boasted of spending nearly $61 million in members' dues to elect Obama. It's the same union that produced Patrick Gaspard, former SEIU health-care lobbyist and now White House director of political affairs.
But the town hall's climactic moment came when the consoler-in-chief plucked Debby Smith from the crowd to tell her personal health-care horror story. She choked back tears as she talked of her battle with kidney cancer, her joblessness and her lack of insurance.
Smith, however, is no ordinary patient. While she may be "unemployed," she has been rather busy working for the Obama campaign -- as a volunteer for Organizing for America. It's the old Obama for Change political machine now housed under the Democratic National Committee. Smith has also identified herself as a worker for the Virginia Organizing Project, which has been coordinating lobbying trips and health-care forums with HCAN. Yes, that HCAN.
In December, Smith moderated "a community discussion on health-care issues" in Appalachia, Va., and told her local paper that the meeting "would be reported back to former Sen. Tom Daschle, who has been directed by President-elect Barack Obama to form a committee to report on health-care issues."
In March, Team Obama pulled the same "kabuki" stunt. At a health-care event in the East Room, the questioners included an Obama donor, a Democratic National Committee member, a former Democratic candidate for the Virginia statehouse who had publicly endorsed Obama and a member of the SEIU. Yes, that SEIU*.

Isn't all that unusual for lowlives to mark the deck, but these clumsy puppeteers take subterfuge to undreamed of heights.
