Corbon DPX

Corbons aplenty. The all-copper DPX @225 grains and their Sierra JHP @ 200, both in .45 Colt caliber before and after being shot into soakened newspaper. The DPX mushroomed, or Star'd out to approximately .87" which is above average for this round fired into that type media, and the Sierra about .7".

Not the best nor the least expensive, but finding favor with those who worship at the bullets shall not lose their jacket altar of gunthink.

For my money, a bullet that starts off as .45" should make it over 1" when all is said and done, particularly when the Corbons are $34 per box of 20. Federal HST's expand to a greater width, and are $16 for 50.

Your money, your choice, and if price isn't a consideration then you really can't go wrong with a DPX, but again, there are "better" bullets for far less money.

Oh, almost forgot; both rounds are +P rated, and from a 4" barrel were cranking along at 1100 fps or thereabouts. If genuine +P Colts are your thing, then check out Buffalo Bore's lineup.
