Crazy Jay has been fooling with the bullets as he pulls them and reloads with his own powder. I just can't get enough of seeing these expanded rounds, and Jay tells me that the 180 can be spanked to 1700 + fps before losing petals upon impact with water jugs. That's from the 17" barrel of a carbine, of course, and by his measurements the 40 S&W is opening to close to an inch at those velocities.
