"The predators are still hunting the weaker among us. Only the blind would say they see no major problem on the streets of Jersey City.
Early Saturday morning, about 6:30, another wolfpack struck near Bramhall Avenue at Seidler Street. A 60-year-old man had broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a broken knee after the vicious pummeling he received from a group of teens who walked up behind him before pouncing on him. Even after they rifled through his pockets and found an empty wallet, the punks beat him.
In June, a 44-year-old woman was attacked by a pack of punks early one morning. They broke her jaw and eye socket and cut her over an eye.
The attack on the city woman came several days after police arrested five juveniles and two adults who assaulted and robbed two men in separate incidents. The city's police chief criticized this newspaper for labeling the attacks as being the work of wolfpacks. The police version is that it was just a bunch of kids feuding.
With the most recent attacks, it would be better to say that the brutality being displayed is a sign of organized sociopaths or the initiation rites for new members of gangs - not feuding teens. Most of these crimes do not involve guns, just brute force.
There have been announcements of special police units, anti-gang programs in school classrooms and a demand for tougher juvenile crime laws. It is the same course followed in the 1990s when criminal activities by youth gangs were making headlines and then President Bill Clinton called upon "every police officer, prosecutor and citizen in America (to work) together" to solve the problem.
After the last attack, there were those in the community who suggested that part of the problem is the lack of recreational and job opportunities for the young. This is probably true, but how many recreational programs are there anywhere that run late into the night or wee hours of the morning when children should be home?"
Yeah. Blowjob Billy stopped by one day and asked everyone to pitch in. Even the citizens he and RodHam had help to disarm so as to make them more pliable victims.
The problem isn't a lack of recreational facilities. Nor a skimpy job market. The problem is twofold and simple to understand:
The left created a sub-species of mankillers. They live in and flock to every town with a democrat in charge. Here they are protected, coddled, and whenever they run rampant are told it isn't their fault because there aren't enough, you know, recreational facilities, so it's more fun to go find some old guy to kick into unconsciousness, and that's quite understandable.
Part 2 of this unholy duet is the fact that New Jersey and other dirty places just like it, doesn't allow it's law abiding citizens to protect themselves.
Predators. Prey. ALWAYS the twain shall meet.
