10 mm Update...
Crazy Jay has chronographed a new batch of Double-Tap 210 grain , Lead Flat Nose,10 mm rounds.
1219 fps from a Glock 20.
This is bordering on serious woods protection. My 4" GP-100 will beat those numbers, but it boils down to 6 for sure versus 15 probably. And with the same gun one can switch to a magazine of 165 grain Golden Sabers that'll exit the pipe at 1400 fps.
ALL of Double-Tap's 10 mm rounds are hot .357 wannabe's that make 4 or 5 inch barreled handguns into 7 or 8 inch barreled ones.
Damn the limpwristed Feds all to hell for giving up on the 10 before the bigtime ammunition manufacturers could make us some kickass fodder.
And I feature Double-Tap even though Mike, the owner, hasn't answered an email in weeks. So it's not about vanity, or a piece of the action, that's for sure.
When we find what seems to be the best or close enough to it, it gets passed along.
