Feds Spoil Wacky Al Queda Plot To Bomb NYC Subway...

WASHINGTON — FBI agents monitoring Internet chat rooms smashed an Al Qaeda terrorist plot to attack New York City's underground transit link with New Jersey, law enforcement officials said Friday.

The attack would have been carried out as early as the fall of this year.

"We're here today to discuss what we believe is the real deal," Mark Mershon, former assistant FBI director in New York, said during a press conference Friday. "We believe we intercepted this group early in their plotting and in fact, the plan has largely been disrupted."

The reason the Feds had to disclose this news was because the NY Daily News got wind of the investigation and splashed it on today's front page:

Daily News Exclusive and Video Report: The FBI has uncovered what officials consider a serious plot by jihadists to bomb the Holland Tunnel in hopes of causing a torrent of water to deluge lower Manhattan, the Daily News has learned. The terrorists sought to drown the Financial District as New Orleans was by Hurricane Katrina.

That American newspapers would continue to throw monkey wrenches into ongoing terrorist investigations is now long past the point of incredulity, and firmly ensconced within the definitions of treason.

Can you even begin to imagine this happening during the Second World War? A U.S. media outlet alerting the enemy that we're on to him?

Congress needs to get busy summoning certain editors and asking for a reasonable explanation. Now. Before more Americans die from such seditious behavior.
