You Might Be On The Wrong Track When...

...John Podhoretz starts thinking the same thing.

"What conservatives seemed to have forgotten was that the world does not solely comprise other conservatives - that the universe does not begin and end with George Bush and the Republicans in Congress.

They also forgot, as much of the nation seemed to forget, that there is still a War on Terror going on.

Last month was the moment that Circe's spell was lifted. The New York Times' revelation of a perfectly legal and vitally important financial instrument deployed in secret against al Qaeda - following pleas and entreaties from the administration and Congress not to do so - sent a stark message: We in the media establishment are openly and unambiguously part of the political opposition, and now we're all but admitting it.

And the Supreme Court's ruling on the tribunals is an urgent reminder of just how serious a battle we have on our hands here - not the battle between America and al Qaeda, but between conservatives who want to win the War on Terror and liberals who really aren't convinced the war even exists.

Opponents like these have a way of bringing alienated comrades back together. Election Day this November may be a very bitter one for Democrats and liberals who have been rubbing their hands together in gleeful anticipation, should Republicans and conservatives find renewed unity against the New York Times and the Supreme Court.

They ought to, and I think they will."

But I ain't changing just because he stumbled into the light of day.

I still aver that the Times and the Supremes did us a favor by taking on serious issues and exposing the Left for what it is, and will always be. They wish us to beg our enemies for mercy rather than pummeling them into the forgotten sands of time, and that's why you CAN count on liberal establishments to aid and abet us as well.

We're the enemy. They adore the enemy. They can't help themselves, it's akin to a biological inperative. When in doubt, surrender at all costs.

So praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition, people. They've once again given us all we really need to win.

We are at war and seditious bastards would see us go down to defeat because prisoners at Guantanamo Bay are angered by the quality of the Quiche Lauraine.
