Cor-Bon .357 Magnum in DPX...
357 MAG 125 GR (DPX) 1315FPS
Something to consider. Crazy Jay has fired these all-copper bullets into water and the .73" expansion was impressive. The weight is not the one I'd employ, and such velocity is several hundred feet per second below what a .357 is capable of generating. But one thing is of a certainty:
They WILL expand.
This is what ticks me off about Buffalo Bore and Double-Tap. Imagine the terminal ballistics they could obtain using modern bullets. Think of the damage from a 140 grain .357 DPX round that exits the pipe at 1500-1600 fps.
Too bad I don't have an extra 100 grand lying around. I'd start an ammunition manufacturing company for real-world shooters and their defensive needs.
