Hells bells but my '86 Chevy Sprint got better gas mileage, and had surprising pickup back when I used it as a Manhattan get-about.
No safety features, no emission controls in the Tata, meaning its just like the European mini's that they rave about while wondering hows a come American cars can't get mileage like that.
Its the "safety" standards, stupid.
And while we're at it, lets ask Europe is leaded gas is still available...
