I'm switching back to open comments, mainly because the level of my abject stupidity exceeds those of most mortal men. As a reason and not an excuse for such incompetance, last week alone I received 947 emails from around the everywhere, and if I inadvertantly deleted a comment or two, cough, or a dozen, here and there it was not intentional, and you have my sincere apology. We're open for business from everyone but the smut peddlers, and Blogger screws up enough all by itself without me contributing to the chinese fire drill. As Lem and Pat have suggested, perhaps it's time to employ something akin to haloscan, yet I dread loading ANYTHING new on these glitchy pc's for fear of crashing everything else.
Lisa would skewer me if I shut us down again, and everyone must fear someone or something and she's mine.

Haloscan doesn't load onto your computer. It loads onto the Google server that your blog is stored in.
