Range Reports

Question: "Is this good? You can use it if you want!"

Answer: No. Excluding the flyer, 3 and a half inches at that distance would be excellent for fast-fire, but until you get those holes close to 2 inches apart don't even think of shooting any faster.

Get closer to the target as well. Have a look at what a G-26 can do at 25 feet and when you can cut one ragged hole then move back if you wish. I don't know if your gun is for defensive purposes or plinking, but if it's for home defense or carry then work on realistic distances for the time being. Shoot a man 45 feet away and he better have been shooting at you first because you're not getting away with the "He scared me" defense.

And if you stick with a 9 mm you'll be needing those 9 little holes all in one spot, so practice some more and let us know how you're coming along.

Oh and one more thing. Remember that Winchester White Box isn't the most accurate ammunition you can buy. I always recommend bench-testing any new firearm upon purchase to get an idea of how accurate the gun itself is under the best possible conditions. Once you know how good the gun can be, then work on finding ammo that works best in the real world. Lots of good defensive ammunition to be found, and after you've decided upon your go-to-fodder then sure, go back to WWB in the same weight and practice with the cheap stuff all you want.

Oh, and make that two more things. Stop shooting at one-dimensional targets. Get something that resembles whatever it is you plan on shooting and see if such added incentive helps. Might want to play a tape recording of a gravelly voice shouting in the background while you shoot. "Gonna kill your squirrely little ass, sweet pea, then rape what's left after I'm done eatin' most of ya!!!"

Something like that'd be fine.
