Legal Destructive Devices

12 gauge Mossberg, ported, rifled barrel in .73 caliber. Legal to own in California because it isn't a .50 caliber RIFLE, and thereby much more difficult to shoot down airplanes with.

Always remember that, per the federal government, anything possessing a caliber greater than half an inch is considered a "destructive device". Unless it's a shotgun. Then it must be an 8-bore, or .835 caliber before it becomes destructive. Unless it's a fowling gun. Then it can be a 4-bore. With a cylinder only as wide as a 1/4 pound ball of lead. But never, ever a 1-bore. That's 1.669" in diameter.
