Tax-Protest...Moonbat Style

So Cindy Sheehan won't be paying her taxes. By this statement, one presumes she is referring to income and state tax, and is not preparing to run from a department store after plunking down the cost of a particular item, less sales tax.

Let's then presume some more. Her last place of employment was a small government agency in Napa, Kalifornia. A quick check with some acquaintances in that part of the world...hey, it's the left coast fer chrissake anything's possible...returned an affirmative to my question of, "Doesn't the government take taxes from one's paychecks just like the rest of the country."

Okay then, so she ALREADY paid her taxes. The jury is still out on her past tax returns, but I'm sure some conservative blog or another will find a way to access this information...namely how much of a return she received last year. That's right, like most Americans in her position, Cindy probably got money BACK from the government, and by refusing to fill out additional tax forms might be cheating herself out of FUTURE RETURNS.

Now, who else but a loony liberal would feel that paying MORE is one damned fine protest?

UPDATE: James Taranto of Wall Street Journal's Best of The Web has also latched on to this story and adds something I'd totally forgot. Her deceased son and his military pay. Servicemen are not subject to taxation while in Combat Zones, and the end result from filing HIS returns could and most probably DOES mean that he is deserving of a refund, which SHE as his parent could then claim.

So, in not filling a tax return she's not only losing the money from HER account, but HIS as well. Mother of pearl but this woman is some kind of protestor. Psst...hey George got a minute? Okay, here's the deal...convince alla these wingnuts to refuse to file a tax return and think of the money the government would save. Pardon? Rove already brought that up? Cool.
