A Disservice To Those In Our Service...

The NY Daily News features two compelling stories this morning. Both about the death of two detectives at the hands of a street thug who shot and left them for dead. Problem is, they are political tales of woe, and while indeed rivetting do not tell the story. The question remains how one man disarmed two policemen and then killed both of them with their own weapons. But you will not find this fact in either of these efforts. Clicking this link takes you to the last words of the detective who lived long enough to call for help. Words now used to promote an agenda. Once again, the angry left uses the death of an officer to sway opinion, and that itself is a tragedy. What was lacking in their training that allowed such a tragedy to happen. Why weren't they wearing their vests. How did a fellow officer only a block away not hear the gunshots and rush immediately to their aid. Why was the 911 operator so confused as to misinterpret 10-13 as an address rather than the code for officer needs assistance.

The answer to those and other questions can only be found by sending a news reporter to cover this story. Something not one of the NY media bothered to do. Instead we get a tale of how evil guns killed hero cops. Guns that were somehow taken from the officers themselves.
