ABC NEWS' BOB WOODRUFF AND A CAMERAMAN WERE INJURED ON SUNDAY AFTER BEING HIT BY AN IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE IN IRAQ

The above was the breaking news from Fox. The AP is saying they were "seriously injured", adding the following:

"Woodruff and cameraman Doug Vogt were hit by an improvised explosive device near Taji, Iraq. They were embedded with the 4th Infantry Division and traveling with an Iraqi mechanized vehicle."

Serious to a moonbat is warm coffee spilled on white pants so we'll be keeping tabs.

If they were riding about in a Russian made BTR, not even Russian regulars will do that. In road marches in fire zones, regular motorized rifles rides on TOP of the vehicle because if it gets hit by a landmine, everyone inside usually dies.. On top, at least they have a better chance to survive if the hit isn't covered by motar fire or is part of an ambush.

And I agree: it's good to see some journalists get out of Baghdad to see what is happening elsewhere.

The real deal from the Bad man. For me, armor was always a hitched ride. Couldn't stand being sardined into those personnel carriers.

PS: And who knows. Woodruff could have taken flak from an explosion a hundred yards away so we'll have to wait for the "real" story. But I WON'T say that it's a shame they didn't take him prisoner.
