Was catching some old "24" episodes, and might very well be forced to reevaluate my position on it being a POS. I understand that familiarity with a character can make up for a great many deficiencies in a theatrical presentation, but watching this show in the proper frame of mind...in other words, enjoy, asshole and stop nitpicking every frickin' thing...goes a long way to make it an enjoyable exercise. I'll give it another look-see or two, and take it from there.
