DR. BOB BOWMAN' S PATRIOT TOUR COMES TO GAINESVILLE TUESDAY APRIL 10
FIRST STOP ON NATIONAL "TAKE BACK AMERICA" SPEAKING TOUR
DR. ROBERT M. BOWMAN, Lt. Col., USAF, ret. will be speaking at the
facilities of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Tuesday April
10th at 7:30 p.m. The UU hall is located at 4225 NW 34th Street,
Gainesville. The event is co-sponsored by the Alachua County Green
Party, Progressive Democrats of Florida, Veterans for Peace, Code Pink
and the Alachua Civic Forum. The April 10th stop in Gainesville kicks
off a four-month national speaking tour that will take Bob and his wife
Maggie to more than 120 cities and towns across the U.S.
A member of Veterans for Peace, Dr. Bowman is a
warrior-turned-peacemaker who flew 101 combat missions in Vietnam and
served in top national security positions, having directed all the
Department of Defense “Star Wars” programs under presidents Ford and
Carter. Dr. Bowman has been an anti-nuke and anti-war activist for over
25 years, and he now calls for an end to the Iraq war and the
impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. The core
message of his tour is to elect representatives who will “Follow the
Constitution, Honor the Truth, and Serve the People.” He is calling for
a full and independent investigation of the 9/11/2001 attacks, asserting
that the 9/11 Commission Report was a coverup, and that evidence points
to government complicity in 9/11.
Dr. Bowman is President of the Institute for Space and Security Studies
and is one of the country's foremost authorities on national security.
He has been an executive in both government and industry, and has
chaired 8 major international conferences. Professor Bowman earned his
Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech, and has
taught at 5 colleges and universities, serving as Department Head and
Assistant Dean. He has lectured at the National War College, the United
Nations, Congressional Caucuses, the Academies of Science of six
nations, and the House of Lords.
Dr. Bowman campaigned as a Democrat for Congress in Florida's 15th
District in 2006 and won almost 44% of the vote despite being outspent
six-to-one by his Republican opponent, incumbent Rep. Dave Weldon. He is
considering another run for Congress in 2008. Bob and his wife of 51
years, Maggie, have 7 children and 21 grandchildren.

Yep. The "patriots" way to solve all that ails us, or at least to improve the quality of life in these America's, is to STOP ALL WAR, SAVE THE TREES, and TAKE BACK AMERICA.
Reference the do-nothing, say-nothing of import, to Newt's broad schemes, plans and ideas, and the difference is self evident. Republicans see a problem, ADMIT that it IS a problem, then devote energies towards a solution.
But, not all men are created equal. Some are born with an unalienable wrongness that drives them away from dealing with the problems inherent to planet earth, and towards some out of touch Utopian commune where carnivores and herbivores may dwell together in peace, singing kumbayah and Michael Row The Boat Ashore.
