We're going to spend over $150 million smackeroonies to throw this jug eared nobody the bash of his life during lean times. Sure we're dumbasses for allowing such goings-on, but who, in their right mind, would ASK for such largess?

I guess that's what he meant by CHANGE. Business as usual but this time around we're gonna learn to like it.
How absolutely wonderful would it have been for him to say, "hey look, guys and gals, the country is going through some nasty stuff, so let's do this low-key."
I'd have done a double-take for sure and maybe even believed some of the things he says.
