Thursdays STOP THE ACLU Blogburst...

This week I've been ranting at pajamas and featuring guns and mams but every Thursday, at least, it is time to fight the good fight against the ACLU.

"We have been focused on the two prominent co-founders Roger Baldwin and Crystal Eastman; but the truth is that there were 7 others. People like Upton Sinclair and Clarence Darrow just to name a couple. But the most notorious of the founding "fathers" of the American Civil Liberals Union (no I didn't spell that wrong) was Elizabeth "Gurley" Flynn.Ms. Flynn was the co-founder who ended up being the National Chairman of the Communist Party in the US. A devout Communist who made several trips to the Soviet Union after the denunciation of Communism by Roger Baldwin in 1940. A move which had motives other than those publicized."

Uh huh, the red menace. The reason I and those of my generation learned how to squeeze under our desks during mock Soviet-Attack-Drills. Most of us matured into individuals vowing to never forget the insidious communists who caused many an ink well to topple, some of us went on to Southeast Asia to fight the bastards there, but unfortunately not a few decided to join the ranks of they that would topple more than what we filled our fountain pens from. It was and remains artsy to preach communism, at least to those who've never had first hand experience with the atrocities such regimes always bring to the table, and while the battle against this monstrosity of a political belief has been overshadowed by the call to arms against radical Islam, there are many of us who will never forget.

And keeping alive the memory of what communism is remains part of the reason I ask you to read and support STOP.
