Dave Versus Bill

New York Post Online Edition: news

"But this 'fair and balanced' — I don't think that you represent an objective viewpoint," Letterman said calmly.

"You have to give me an example if you're going to make those claims," O'Reilly retorted.

To which Letterman replied coolly, "I don't watch your show, so that would be impossible."

Hmm. Lots more people watch O'Reilly than Dave's so perhaps Letterman has a point in not contributing to someone else's high ratings as opposed to his low and dismal ones. Like him or not, O'Reilly rules his roost, and Letterman will always be second fiddle to Leno, so were I Bill I wouldn't let what Mr. Second Place says bother me all that much.

I mean, come on now. He's a talk show host. Late night. On network. Broadcasting from the second most liberal city in the country. He picks up the talking points from the Move-On idjits and has nothing of substance to offer. The loons don't debate, they whine, accuse, and spout slogans in place of ideas. For ANYONE to agree with Cindy the sea-sick she-serpent means they haven't thought very much on how her incessant bitching depletes the morale of the ones doing the heavy lifting for us. To lend credence to her vitriol that suggests our servicemen and women are the real terrorists is to sign up for a trip on the little bus to hell. This is what happens when an entertainer tosses his two cents into the pot. It's all most of them have to gamble with and are easily trumped by others not as morally bankrupt.

And to posit that someone is not fair, then admit to have never partaken of their offerings is the mark of a complete fool. Perhaps Dave would be so kind as to appear on O'Reilly's show and go tit for tat in depth.

Fat chance.
