When was the last time anyone cut and stacked cords of wood? Not an easy job to be sure, but immensely gratifying. One attacks piles of innocent logs and begins slashing and chopping and hacking, and if one is sufficiently conditioned for this activity, the fun can last the live-long day. It does get cold around these parts at night, can drop into the mid to upper 30's, and the homeless suffer. And forget the hollywood version of the hobo at the campfire, a lot of homeless people are young and some of them are or have children, too.

Wonderful to build up a sweat for all the right reasons.
