Florida Police Want "Tougher" Carry Laws

"Three major Florida law enforcement groups have joined a growing list of voices advocating changes to the state's gun laws to prevent criminals from legally carrying handguns.

Leaders of the
Florida Sheriffs Association, the Florida Fraternal Order of Police, and the Florida Police Chiefs Association told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel this week that they will support efforts to tighten eligibility rules for concealed weapon licenses."

Okay, it's about the definition of what is a felon. Copping a plea to a lesser charge, yadda yadda. Ever since it was made public that a infinitesimally small percentage of CWP holders may have led felonious lives after their licensing, the cops have been shitting bricks.

Know your enemy. Know the facts. All of the above organizations had been grumbling about civilian concealed carry for decades and struck while the iron was hot.

Police departments do not want you capable of defending yourself. There are minor exceptions to this law of nature, but believing that the constabulary is on your side is delusional.
