Conservative Comedy Show: Good for a Few Laughs-- and Good for the Cause

From Michael Medved

"You've probably heard about the new comedy show on Fox News that appeals directly to conservatives and you've also probably heard some of the negative buzz in the blogosphere. Some bloggers have even called on Fox's big boss Roger Ailes to kill the program outright before its premiere since it's allegedy an embarrassment to the conservative cause.

For most people, the big question is whether The 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour, which debuts this Sunday night, February 18, is worth thirty minutes of your time?

After watching the first two episodes of the show, my answer is an unequivocal "Yes" -- it's worth watching, worth supporting, even if the project is very much a work in progress which, along with a few laughs, delivers a few moments of embarrassing, unfunny, ineptitude."

There's a great many things I'd like to say about this, but the first thing that comes to mind is, who cares? A comedy 1/2 hour aimed at conservatives. Tepid, playing-it-safe comedy? Certainly cannot deliver the requisite below the belt comedy that conservatives would enjoy because no network is ready to produce a live version of South Park, with South meaning the lower half of the Carolinas.

Supposedly there are video snippets available but I've yet to look for, then obviously not seen them. I'd make an end of the world as we know it proposal that THIS is why Conservatives are letting the cows out of the barn. They're worrying over a half hour of what has to be clueless "comedy" when efforts to awaken them to the charge of the lib brigade falls on deaf ears?

Has anyone seen this thing or aware of the battle for our funny bones? Are there no prisons? No workhouses?
