Libby Lynching Continued...

John Podhoretz Gets A Say

"So let's review. No crime was committed, according to Fitzgerald, in the publication of Valerie Plame Wilson's name.

No crime was committed, according to Fitzgerald, by the actions of two government officials who revealed Valerie Plame Wilson's name to Novak.

No crime was committed, according to Fitzgerald, by the White House press secretary who actually and actively tried to spoon-feed the name to three journalists.

Scooter Libby, by contrast, spoke to a reporter who didn't publish a story with Valerie Plame Wilson's name in it. She went to jail for 85 days. Now Fitzgerald wants to send Libby to jail too - on the basis of dimly remembered conversations and indecipherable chicken scratches.

So why did this series of conversations end up being the subject of a criminal investigation? Don't ask. Really. The jury's not even supposed to think about Valerie Plame Wilson's status - whether covert, classified, non-covert, non-classified or whatever. Honestly. That's what the judge ruled.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Crime Without a Cause.

Oh, except for one thing: BushliarCheneydespicableHaliburtonevilneocons.

I rest my case."

Then From Ann Coulter

"To see how liberal history is created, you need to tune into the nut-cable stations and watch their coverage of the Scooter Libby trial. On MSNBC they're covering the trial like it's the Normandy Invasion, starring Elvis Presley, as told by Joseph Goebbels.

MSNBC's "reportage" consists of endless repetition of arbitrary assertions, half-truths and thoroughly debunked canards. No one else cares about the trial — except presumably Scooter Libby — so the passionate left is allowed to invent a liberal fable without correction.

If you wonder how it came to be generally acknowledged "fact," accepted by all men of good will, that Joe McCarthy was a monster, that Alger Hiss was innocent, that mankind is causing global warming and that we're losing the war in Iraq, try watching the rewriting of history nightly on MSNBC. Don't forget to bring your time machine."

After delving through the above, one can reasonably assert that poking fun of liberals is almost as much fun as going to a shooting range and using their likenesses as targets. Fact of the matter is that I myself always score far better with an anthropomorphic site picture, and lets face it; gets the adrenaline going so why shouldn't it work.
