INDIANAPOLIS - "A crewman for Dale Coyne Racing was hospitalized Friday after being knocked to the ground in the pits by Danica Patrick's incoming car during practice for the Indianapolis 500.
Charles Buckman, the chief mechanic for Mario Moraes' No. 19 car, was taken to the hospital with a concussion and cuts to his face and scalp.
"It's really, really unfortunate what happened today," Patrick said after the incident. "Thoughts and prayers are with him, with his family and hopefully he can get back on the track soon and be able to do what he loves."
Which, one would imagine, does not entail being mowed down by a woman driver who may or may NOT have been talking to her mother on one line while ordering pizza on another on a cell phone as she was qualifying.
Hey. Happens every day so why NOT her?
