Mahmoud Abbas In The Wall Street Journal

WSJ.com - Is the 'Road Map' at a Dead End?

By MAHMOUD ABBAS
Sputter, sputter, what the hell, um, yeah, THAT Abbas? THAT Abbas.

"Since my democratic election as president of the Palestinian Authority in January, my government has done all in its power to advance the Road Map and live up to our commitments: My government has initiated serious reforms of our governing institutions; we have consolidated the official security agencies; we have declared a policy of nonviolence and negotiations and we have worked hard to secure and maintain a cease-fire to which all factions signed on."

WHAT? So those rocket attacks DURING the withdrawal...they were imaginary ones? And the simple fact that week after week Palestinian terrorists CONTINUE to attack Israel...THAT'S doing all you can?

Unfortunately, Palestinians cannot pursue the Road Map alone. Implicit in the idea of the Road Map is that Israel and the Palestinians are partners in the journey to peace. Yet the Israeli government has not fully cooperated with my government, created obstacles in the face of a full and unconditional return to the negotiating table, and acted as if Israel can resolve the Middle East conflict unilaterally. In addition, the Israeli government has taken steps that undermine the Road Map.

So lemme get this straight; you guys can kill alla the Jews you want and they should just shut the fuck up and bend over some more? The Jewish government has been the EPITOME of frickin restraint when your asswipe pals go on their weekly killing sprees but that's not enough for you, is it? You want them to disregard the fact that hundreds of times YOU'VE broken the peace whenever it suited your purposes, and act like the safety of their people is not even the most vague of concerns?

We were told that our behavior would be a "test," and that if we did our part, Israel would reciprocate by allowing Gazans to breathe the air of freedom and begin rebuilding their shattered lives.

Yet, this has not happened: Gaza's airport and crossing point to Egypt remain closed; its waters are off-limits to our fishermen; its borders are completely sealed and movement into or out of Gaza is virtually impossible; and no safe passage between Gaza and the West Bank exists. Because investors rightly fear that without access to the outside world, Gazans will not be able to rebuild a functioning economy, they have been slow at investing.

Of course the frickin crossing points have been closed. Everytime they leave them open one of your camelfuckers waltzes in and fucking KILLS people. Can you even THINK of getting that through your thick skull? But of course you can, nobody is that dumb, you're just playing the same old tune of it's the fault of the Jooos, right?

Israel's lack of regard for the Road Map is having a powerfully negative effect on Palestinian society at an extremely critical time in our democratic development. There is a struggle underway for the hearts and minds of the Palestinian people between the moderates and the fundamentalists. I firmly believe that this struggle should be resolved to the advantage of the moderates via the democratic process, not through civil war. As John F. Kennedy once said, "A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people."

Sweet mother of pearl but this asshat is something else, but then all people of good will have known that for quite some time. Read his rambling rewrite of history, but not on a full stomach and keep all breakables far, far away. And take a look at the following story, a charming one detailing the latest terror coming from the self proclaimed hand-picked followers of Abbas:

Palestinian Gunmen Abduct 2, Make Threats - Yahoo! News

As soon as a week, just ONE WEEK goes by without a headline beginning with "Palestinian Gunmen", then and only then will anyone even begin to believe that you are holding up YOUR end of the roadmap. and I'm still lshakinig my head over this "President" Abbas deal; weren't you supposed to be the Prime Minister? Or some other minister? "President" only started showing up when the NY Times began kissing your ass, or did you really change the title? And please, let's not even go there with 'democratically elected" nonsense, okay.
